Martell Looking For Opportunities
#1
After a long, storied career with Hollywood FC, the time has come for Pete to make a decision. Does he retire with on the top with his lifelong team or does he keep playing the game he loves and try to help the next team as a grizzled vet who can help a team push for promotion or avoid relegation. The choice is yours (looking at you General Managers in the Majors). Pete Martell is open for business and ready to play striker or CAM for your team and give his all to continue accomplishing goals at the Majors level.

For Pete, he wants to keep chasing the thrill of scoring, winning matches, chasing promotions and winning Titles, and is excited for a chance to make new fans and meet new teammates. He has slowly climbed the goals scored ranks in league history and would love to get even higher before hanging the cleats up.

So to all you General Managers or Assistant General Managers reading this, give this old man who is at roughly 1400 (pre-regression) TPE a shot to help your team succeed and in return he’ll give you everything until the wheels fall off.

Hope to hear from you!

Sad to see the end of an era, but excited to see a new chapter. There is no doubt about it, Martell was central to the success Hollywood had, and Hercule will be sad to see him go. But this is the sort of drama that can make the league even more interesting.

Hefeweizen remembers the difficult decision he faced after his rookie contract expired and he dipped his toe into free agency. So many interesting options around the league, potential partnerships that would play a large role in defining his career. The thing that made it most challenging was there were so many excellent potential landing spots. While Martell is currently on the opposite bookend of his career I am sure he will have many interesting opportunities as well. He's aged gracefully so far and there is no reason to think that won't continue.

When the young Belgian entered the Hollywood locker room he wasn't exactly sure what to expect, he knew there was a strong young nucleus and engaged leaders in management and throughout the organization. But he could never have imagined the success he would get to be a small part of. Martell even then was a storied presence, and that legend has only continued to grow. Hercule looks forward to seeing where his teammate lands and cheering him on during the final stage of his career.
