A Hollywood Villain
#1
It seemed like a long time between the end of the season and the SFL Draft.  Kaz spent his time training and took a quick trip back home to Japan.  He had heard a rumor that most of the teams already knew who they were drafting, almost like it was something already decided a week before the draft.  That couldn't be the case, right?

Pushing that aside, it was a week to reflect on his time in the Academy.  It had been a valuable experience playing with a league full of the best young players the world had to offer, the future stars of the sport. Kaz felt that he had upped his game and hoped that his skills had earned him some eyes on his gameplay after year one.

Draft day came, and much like a good chunk of the Academy, Kaz had settled himself in to see who would be chosen with the hopes that he himself would be. Despite his confidence, he knew that he was still a bit new compared to some of the other people who had entered the draft, but he hoped his time would come.  The first round concluded, 12 picks off the board.  He knew those players were all skilled and had more experience than himself, so he told himself to be patient and humble.

The second round commenced, and name after name came off the board.  Kaz thought that, realistically, he might go in later rounds, maybe in the fourth. Then, to his surprise, with the 24th pick overall, the final pick of the second round, Hollywood Football Club called his name.  A second-round pick?  For someone who had that villain in him, his head grew to an even bigger size.

"Second round pick, and I've barely just begun.  I'm going to be a problem for anyone trying to score goals."

Guess being humble went out the window.
