#2 Rookie Season [Now Open to S27 Players]
Career Task #1 Biography https://forum.simulationsoccer.com/showt...#pid100450

Star Scream had a very interesting rookie season being assigned to Port Royal. Who in the long scheme of things met some pretty awesome people. Port Royal aside from first game struggled throughout the season, we played Sydney City Beating them in the first game of Port Royal 4-2 . We as a team would go on a 4 week losing streak , coming back in week 6 with a 7-2 Win over Jakarta, which in the season would be our highest score. Star Scream was in many formations and i was a CM for Port Royal i seemed to be playing more of a CDM role. As the Season went on i know my stats or even ratings weren't going to be good. Overall my first season with Port Royal and alot of my teammates would say not a good season.  So i had get into the gym and grind for those TPE to improve my stock to Major Clubs/ Minor. Regardless if the season was a let down the drafting process was an upside for Star Scream. Going through the drafting process and the interview process alot of teams were asking if i was willing to switch positions as it seemed CM was already filled. With my skill stock not being so hot at the moment my TPE earning and stock for that was very high. Through out the season Star Scream had to get in the gym and was a top 10 TPE earner throughout the season. When the draft happened i was a little surprised not going in the TOP 10 but it happens. I slide to 22nd Overall to Catalunya and honestly i was asked to Moved to RD, atm in my draft class im in top RD of tpe earners. With the rough season as a player it was an awesome feeling being drafted to Catalunya suits my style my humour everything and i love Medieval Horses and Knights. As Star Scream continues on playing for Seoul as a RD. So far in my short career i have already passed my Academy Assist stats with only 4 games in. Overall with the ups and down Star Scream feeling after my first season with the draft in mind was a blessing.

Career 1

When Nick arrived at Accra International Airport, he got lost on his way out.

The driver of the car that was sent to pick him up had nipped off for a wee and missed Kasak as he slipped out the door and got into a different car.

Luckily this wasn’t the first time it had happened and they took him to Accra’s training ground anyway.

The inauspicious start continued, with a 0-0 against what should have been an easy team of legends, but somehow, Accra found their feet and with it rose to near the top of the table.

On matchday 3, Accra really got firing on all cylinders, with a 7-1 thumping of poor Sydney City. Playing off his unnatural right, Kasak played 5 key passes, produced 4 clear chances, 3 of which ended up in the back of the net, with Kasak awarded a 10 out of 10 performance despite not scoring.

His first Player of the Match!

His second wouldn’t come for another 10 games, where Accra overcame a formerly dominant Stockholm with a stunning 5-3 victory. Despite Blaise N’Kufo’s hattrick, the Player of the Match went to Kasak with performance of one goal and two assists.

It’s unfortunate that the academy index has some games missing for Kasak, as just these performances alone would account for all of his recorded assists!

That said, for every assist, there were darker moments – missed opportunities galore, a poor successful cross percentage (18.75% compared to 33% for Jack Pow) and plenty of bad teamwork.

Accra themselves finished a delightfully dull fourth place, but with Kasak poised for a decent draft. Indeed he was the first one of Accra’s somewhat quiet academy season to be picked, going to Hollywood in the first round, but with a caveat that he would no longer playing as a winger, but was moving into much murkier territory indeed: Central Midfield.

Nick Kasak left Accra in much more esteemed style than his entry. He and his other draft prospects enjoyed an open training session in the stadium and small open top bus parade.

He will not leave Accra a legend, by any means, and his career in the minors at Kaapstad will need to built brick by brick, assist by assist, goal by goal or… what else happens in midfield?

Let’s find out.

Well... Where shall we start with how Kairo Vox rookie season turned out?

Jack Pow turning my free time into a social world of sim leagues? crazy time alterations of personal life just to have a quick scouting chat with one of the many amazing OM's, scouts, AMs we are blessed with here?.... The rumours of an expansion plan based in Greenland around a Call of Duty themed team?....

How about we start with how my rookie season went from a newbie 34 year old entering sim world for the first time who loved FM that jumped straight into being an Academy manager to Stockholm and even had the audacity to take on a second job as an Accountant! Managing was absolutely wild and I am proud to say I feel I had a big part to play in the activity levels in our awesome class 26. The banter, the laughs, the live matchday vibes were 2nd to none. Stockholm set the academy on fire going undefeated for the first 4 games before the OGs wanted to come in and set fire to the parade lol! Seriously, we had a ball...

As for Vox as a player being the ultimate newbie I ruined the initial build and within the first half of the season used my free academy reroll to try and make a difference on the pitch to be more of a key player. One of the biggest highlights for me was playing along side my real life best mate Jack who unfortunately was drafted away from me when it came down to it.

I come away from the academy with smiles and good memories, made some new friends along the way, now onto the next chapter of Kairo Vox at North Shore, still pushing for the Head Accountant role, whilst enjoying time as a BOD Intern. Shoutout to all you legends that have made this such a positive experience! Now throw me my 10 TPE graders you absolute beautiful humans haha!

Mecha Zilla was placed onto Sydney City in the Simulation Soccer league as it entered the S24 Academy Class. There were some early growing pains as it adjusted to the face pace of the game and the different strategies employed by both Sydney City and the opposing teams (but lets be honest, Zilla didn't pay attention to any of those anyways). At the end of the academy season Zilla finished with the 7th most successful headers at 60, many of which were produced by its totally not illegal force field (although it still needs to get the timing down better to actually get the ball to go in the right direction). Zilla was credited with 3 goals and 1 assist, largely to luck. Zilla also had 5 key tackles throughout the season, good for 5th most in the academy. 7 shots blocked for 7th most in the academy and the 3rd most clearances at 37 showed that it can be a true defensive wall when needed! Not so surprisingly, Mecha Zilla led the academy class in most yellow cards at 4 but no red cards though! But if it wants to have a shot at one of the professional teams, Zilla will need to clean up its game and stop "accidentally" stomping on players. All in all, Mecha Zilla finished the season with an average rating of 7.04. Which is quite middle of the pack but it showed improvements as the season went on and for a robot not knowing how to play football, it has a lot of room to grow. For the team, Sydney City stayed above 0.500 with 7 wins, 1 draw, and 6 losses with 37 total goals scored and 31 goals allowed. Overall Zilla was happy with how the season went and is looking forward to joining one of the main organizations soon!

#1 Biography

I was drafted 8th overall by Liffeyside Celtic/Rova Mpanjaka, and the next chapter of my journey had begun. Not knowing what to expect from the season ahead, I set my aims high enough they’d be a challenge, but also realistic in the sense I’d be a small fish in a much bigger pond now. My target before the season began was at least 1 goal-involvement per game. I don’t mind if I’m scoring or creating, I said from day one I want to be involved in the big moments.

Pre-season was good. A goal on my debut really made me feel like I wouldn’t be standing out for all the wrong reasons. Of course, having quality players around me was always going to benefit me, but I still had to make sure I was keeping my side of the bargain too. The last thing I wanted was my teammates becoming frustrated with me for not showing up.

Then the real work began. We really showed what we were about from here onwards. Dropping points in only 2 games in the league, throughout the whole season, and finishing as champion, by quite a distance. So how did my targets go? I finished the season on 8 goals and 9 assists (including 2 POTM awards) from 17 games. Which was bang on my target, so I’m buzzing about that. It’s been a really fun season and I can’t wait to be in the Minors Div 1 next season.

I’m not setting any targets just yet. I know next season will be tough, coming up against even tougher opponents. Right now I just want to enjoy this moment with the team and staff, before prep for next season begins. All I know is that I’m really enjoying living in Antananarivo, and it’s exactly where I’m meant to be.

Felix has been loving his time in Kaapstad. He has gotten used to all of his teammates he even scored his first free kick for the squad completing his one and only goal for his rookie season. He has the video saved and watches it every practice to get better and make sure this is not his one and only. While he only has only scored 2 goals the entire season Kaapstad has avoided relegation with the assistance of Dante Von Wolfe who has scored 6 goals so far in his tenure at the club. While Kaapstad might only be 6 - 3 - 6 its core squad is a group of season 26 draftees who are still on their rookie season and cannot compete with these higher teams who have 3rd and 4th year players. Felix has seen the ups and downs of the season and how he's just another cog in the clock that still has to grow and adapt to play with the team. He has been but in the defensive midfield for his rookie season and while its not his preferred position he has been solid with a 6.84 average rating which has been climbing the entire season trying to fill the position he has been given the best he can. He really wishes he is able to go back onto a more central attacker spot he knows not to push with the gaffa. Its only up from here and he knows it. Hollywood was always a place he wanted to visit and he knows if he wants to get called up and get that shot at the top he needs to keep doing him and ignore everyone who tries to deter him or just himself and his inner voice. His next goal is too get that 2nd free kick goal and then many more to prove himself in the midfield.

#1 Biography: https://forum.simulationsoccer.com/showt...#pid100172

Alex Peña had a really interesting Draft Day. After many of his fellow Draftees said he will be a guaranteed first round pick, he had to wait and wait until eventually at Pick 21, just before the 3rd round he got picked by Reykjavik United. Playing for Rashford instantly was an honor for Peña as he I regarded as one of the best players ever. But now it was time to show that he is more than capable of what a lot of GMs were overseeing. Going only as pick 21 after beating the Academy Assist record was something that hurt Peña but only for short until he realized that he can now prove everyone wrong. Alex Peña was happy to join Reykjavik together with Kairo Vox (@Hoodz_91), Pick 9, and Martin Krpan (@ChiefVito), Pick 33. He started his rookie season right were he left the Academy already getting 2 Assists in his first ever match for North Shore United, Reykjaviks Minor League Team. After a devastating 3-0 loss in game 2 he just kept going securing 3 assists in a 5-2 win over Rapid Magyar. But he was not done yet getting another assist in the very next game in a 1-0 win. But something Peña is really bad at is slowing down so his success continued through game 5 with another assist in the next game. But then history repeats. After losing 3-0 to Paris in game 2 the same thing happened in game 6. Another 3-0 loss. This time Peña was not as fast to get back to his usual contribution getting only 1 assist in the next 3 games. But in Matchday 10 he showed again why Reykavik wanted him. 2 Assists and the Man of the Match award in a 4-1 win over London really showed his capabilities. But then again Paris had to destroy everything. A 5-1 loss completely derailed Peña, which lead to him only getting 1 goal and 0 assists in the final 4 games of which North Shore was only able to win 1 game.  He then ended the season with 1 goal and 10 assists, which is 3rd highest in the Minor League and 2nd in Minor League Division 1.
Academy Assist Record holder (14 Assists)
