London, England
Inter London came into the week with three losses in their first three matches. With a -6 goal differential, the team is looking at various ways to get any sort of points. Being last in the table means that every team is looking at you as easy points. We need to be able to make these games more difficult for the opposition.
Matchday four saw Krung Thep FC dismantle Inter London 4-1. This was an important game for Inter London as Krung Thep FC was right above them in the standings. The gap has now increased to 6 points. Inter London's Angry Lizard got sent off in the 74th minute. Chris McZehrl scored the lone goal for the last-place side, with Ryan O'Neill assisting on the goal. Unfortunately for João Mendes, this was probably his worst match since joining the SSL. He made two mistakes leading to goals and also picked up a yellow card. This was a match to forget for the young side.
Matchday five saw North Shore United win 3-1 against Inter London, this now making it five consecutive losses in the league for the newly promoted side. North Shore United were also 3 points ahead of Inter London, which has now resulted in another team adding to their gap in points. João Mendes was the lone goal scorer, with Ryan O'Neill once again creating the assist. Inter London will feel like this season is going against them, with the away side having more shots on target and expected goals, but still ending up on the losing side.
This feels like it's now or never for Inter London. With zero points in five games, the bad luck is turning into frustration for management. With only one-third of the season done, there is still time to turn this around. There is going to be a lot of work to do on the training ground to get this back on track.
