Tex Star caught Bubblegum in the goal scoring race with an initial hat trick. Then Tex had a no impact in the win at the beginning of the week, but later in the scored a startling 4 out of the 5 goals for his team to secure a 5-3 victory. With Tex at 14 goals will that be enough to win the academy golden boot? Or will Bubblegum edge him out at the end in the tight race? Victoria Falls final match is against the #2 team in the standings so it won’t be easy to score or a secure a victory, but the lads have to have faith in the boss and his plan as it’s led them to a 3 win streak as of late. They can’t edge out the league title at this point but they can fight for second still I believe potentially or play spoiler to another with a victory or draw. Tex said win or lose he’s proud of his squad bouncing back after a tough stretch of adverse situations in games, and the bounce of the ball just wasn’t falling their way, after a tremendous start. It won’t be the result they wanted but they could still finish it out strong.
