With the Academy season over and with the promotion/relegation games complete, Scoot Newman has some big plans for the off-season. Besides training and focusing on the upcoming SSL Draft, he plans in traveling to watch his friend, Speedy McFly Jr., compete in the upcoming PBE All-Star game. During the season, Scott Newman got in contact with Speedy. They quickly became friends because they share some of the same interests, In fact it was Speedy that invited Newman to watch the game if he could find the time. With the SSL season over, the window has opened so he'll take the opportunity. Speedy also gave Scott the contact information of a friend of his; Dalton Gross wide receiver for the Arizona Outlaws in the ISFL. Speedy warned Scott not to reach out to Dalton at the moment as he's been expressing some of his frustrations at how his season is going at the moment. On that note, Scott Newman will probably travel to Phoenix to watch the Outlaws play
Circling back to the draft, Newman is excited for it. He's already envisioning hearing his name be called, walking on the stage, and receiving the jersey of the team that drafted him. He's also getting ideas of what number he wants once he gets to the team. Right now he sees himself as being a late 1st or early 2nd round pick. He also understands that there's always a chance to slip to the late 2nd round. If that happens he'll go out there and prove why he should have been taken earlier. I know that's a dangerous thing to say, just look at what happened with Josh Rosen after made is now infamous 9 mistakes comment, but I genuinely believe in that statement I made as I'm willing to put in the effort to earn as much TPE as possible
