SSL Fantasy Ones to Watch
#1
Evening everyone

As we start off our open beta of fantasy of which I'm super excited for I personally think one of the most fun parts of fantasy is all the discussion and planning around it, for FPL anyways making the team was always more fun than watching the team

To start off with a nice easy article I'm picking one player from each position (GK/DEF/MID/ATT) that I think everyone should have on their radar

GK - Joseph Daniel Kakou - ITL - £6 Mil

Now right off the gate I'd like to say I think Benecio Aguilera III is the stand out pick for GK with 1900 TPE on an incredibly dominate Paris side, with 77 points last season theres no reason those numbers can't stay consistent even with the roster changes

However I think Joseph Daniel Kakou is a really interesting alternative, ok I get hie's coming off a 38 point season however after Londons (arguably shock) playoff loss London find themselves back in Div2, last time Kakou was here he tied the league in clean sheets even though he was sharing matches with Letsie, coming into this season the only GK on Londons squad and a solid DIv2 track record Joseph Daniel Kakou could potentially be top scorer this season

Honourable Mention: Takechi as any GK on pens is a fun addition to a squad and Hernandez is a great budget option for a solid SFV side

DEF - Jonathon Jameston - IRC - £4 Mil

OK the elephant in the room, Jameston is on Casablanca and they are looking really rough for this season which is to be 100% expected however the key thing here is a little something called OOP, now this stands for Out of Position and for people new to fantasy OOP is an incredible option for points where a player is playing further up the pitch than the position fantasy assigns them, Jameston is cheap and I think is lined up to be Casablancas CAM for this season and while I don't expect many clean sheet points to come their way this season if any, for 4 Million a goal scoring threat is an incredible pick up and will for sure be going into my team

Honourable Mention:  Riveras at 6.5 is a solid budget option and Cotswold on Paris could be points leader at the end of the season

MID - Cade Power - SFV - £10.5 Mil

Now as you may find out as fantasy develops, MID is a position I'm just really not a fan of, it's so hard to choose what is or isn't a MID imo and CDM's can be so streaky with scoring unless they are a VOL every game (think of Dia a few seasons back etc) however Cade is a solid goalscorer who I believe plays OOP as a striker at least some of the time and a name I always seem to see popping up in and around the box, it's an expensive pick but I think a safe floor of at least 5 goals a season

Honourable mention: Slothinson is a locked in CAM at 7.5 and should be a solid mid range option

ATK - Kairo Vox - CAI - £10.5 Mil

Ok I fully get this may look like a bias pick but here me out here, Vox is coming off a solid 77 point season in DIV1 and has joined a high power Cairo squad that has stripped it's 1-0 identity and scored 5 goals against a solid Seoul squad last night, Vox will be perfectly set up to play as an inside forward and backup striker option when required and I think they are primed to have a huge season in DIV2 as they push for a promotion space, probably not the highest scorer but for 10.5 Mil is a solid Mid/High budget pick

Honourable mention: N'Goussou had an incredible season last time out and looks primed and ready to be one of if not the top scorers this season
