This past week in North Shore was a relaxing one with a bye early in the week. The players got some much-appreciated time to relax, explore the town, and see some sights. Swiss Cheese got to take some time to finally decorate their new home in North Shore, which, to this point, had completely empty, unpainted walls, 2 plastic lawn chairs, an old coffee table a teammate didn't want anymore, and an inflatable mattress. All in all, it was nice to handle some errands and an overall great opportunity to unwind for North Shore's personnel. Unfortunately, that relaxing continued well into the next match against Kaapstad. Not in the sense that the result was relaxing, but more so that I think we were still in vacation mode for that game. And you know what? That's fair. It's like when you get some time off from work, and you just don't really want to dive right back into the thick of things when you get back into the office. Better to just take things kind of slow for the first couple of days and ease yourself back into that routine. So, as a silver lining for losing 0-4 in a game where I think literally everyone struggled, it's nice to know our players know how to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
