The Casablanca Organization came into Season 27 with low expectations, both from around the league as well as in the Locker Room. We we're an expansion organization; we have a hand-me-down roster built with scraps from the other teams around the league and our total TPE reflects that. We we're only supposed to score what, 3 points at most? Here we are, nine games into the season, and are within striking range of the fifth spot in Division 2!
Three of our points were understandable. We played the Dakar organization, a battle of the bottom, and came away with a resounding win. Great work! But that's not all! In MD2 we played the Tokyo S.C. and came away with a HUGE 4-0 win! We played to a draw against CF Catalunya in MD4, Schwarzwalder FV in MD10, and CF Catalunya again in MD11!
IRC is sitting at an outstanding 9 points scored through 9 games played, 6 more than anybody though possible at this point! And that's not even the most exciting part about the organization!
Our young guys are playing better than expected as well, which is HUGE for the organization, and it shows that we are bringing in the right kind of talent! Through 9 games in the Minor Division 2 standing, SD Guayaquil is sitting in the fifth spot, out pacing both CD Alfama and Seoul MFC. With some better breaks down the stretch they have a real good shot at overtaking Athenia for the 4th spot in the Division!
The future is definitely bright for the IRC organizations! With a few more great draft classes we should see the IRC teams start making a push for promotion!
