Burger with the lot

[Rylakn]

Some of you may have noticed that I have been away on Vacation for most of this season, and as such was forced to use my PT pass in shame on many occasions in the last few weeks. Now that I am back, I endeavoured to make sure I write out some words for my PT this week. I have been sitting on the same bank balance for far too long, so I took to the locker room of CasaQuil to find inspiration for this week's PT ramblings. One might think it easy to simply look at the surprising results of both clubs in their inaugural season for a quick easy PT, but I think I will save that for once the season has concluded. Instead I posed a question to the players and said I would write my PT about whichever player was closest to the correct answer. What was the question I asked? How much of a shitshow would I walk back into at work after having had three weeks off. There were a number of responses, but ultimately it was Dom who was closest with his guess of 8. I spanned the whole week with my rating and most days were between 7-9, so Dom was declared the winner.

For those who don’t know, Dom’s player is called His Cheeseburger and he plays Left Back or Left Defense for SD Guayaquil and he has had quite the impressive rookie season for the minor league club. As you can see from his statistics below, he has been an integral part of the club as they have surprised many pundits so far this season. The below stats are through 9 games.

Average Rating: 7.03
Goals: 1
Assists: 1
Shots on Target: 3
Passing %: 79.7
Key Passes: 10
Crossing %: 11.11
Chances Created: 4
Header %: 61.76
Key Headers: 9
Dribbles: 16
Tackle %: 68.42
Key Tackles: 1
Interceptions: 22
Clearances: 24
Blocks: 10
Shots Blocked: 6

As you can see Mr Cheeseburger has done a little bit of everything for the Condors. He may not be leading the league in any one key area, but he can certainly be considered a Cheeseburger with the lot.

In all seriousness, I couldn’t be happier with the performance of both teams on and off the pitch so far this season, and I know we have some more points in us yet. We may not win the games, but we will do our best to steal points each week and make sure people see us as a challenge. One thing is for sure, you’ll leave the matches against these teams feeling like you’ve been pushed. The draft is fast approaching and scouting is in full swing, it won’t be long before we are welcoming some fresh faces to the org.
