Accra

Alyssa Aulbach came off the pitch from her training session at the Pfarzheim academy ground, eager to get back to her home and rest for the afternoon. After talking it over for a while with her family, she'd ultimately decided to take the plunge and declare for the SSL Academy for the upcoming season. Her dream since she was a little girl had always been to play professional football, and though moving potentially across the world at such a young age would be a big adjustment for her it would all be worth it if it meant improving her chance of getting that draft call from a club the year after. Unlike the major and minor SSL organizations which were each run independently by their own front offices, the Academy teams were all directly run by the SSL itself so Alyssa would just be placed on a team, not having to worry about impressing or earning attention from a club before she'd had a chance to show her stuff professionally.

Later that same day, the call ultimately came in. For her Academy year, Alyssa Aulbach would be headed off to Adowa Accra FC. Alyssa pulled out her phone and looked up the other players that had also been named to the roster, and was excited to see that a few other German players had also been assigned to the team in Elias Doge and Kevin Hock. In an added dose of poetry, the original Adowa Accra FC was a SSL club that had relocated only a little before Alyssa was born...to become Schwarzwälder FV, the club based only one city over from Alyssa's hometown and whose youth academy she grew up in. It really was the perfect place to go.
