JAKARTA THREE TIME CHAMPIONS
Those words rang in Sei’s mind for days, and hung on a banner on the front of the academy building and in many of its rooms.
This was a delight, but also a bit of sadness. One of the questions from the media that night was if Sei thought the team could be considered a dynasty. To the press’s surprise, he answered that they were not. “Every player in the academy moves on to bigger and better things in a full SSL team. With no repeat players, you can’t call any team a dynasty. However, our stuff is amongst the best in the league; I have a lot of high quality trainers and medical staff and team analysts helping me lead the team. While we aren’t a dynasty, we are a foundation of success for any would like to come play with us.”
That was his view, the Jakarta academy being a stage to raise its players to success and a bright future. What took him by surprise though happened later that night. The team declared that Jakarta was even more than that. Jakarta is a home. One that will always be here, strong, and led by those who can help anyone that comes through.
To Sei, that is now how he views the team and the facility, along with all of its staff. Once he started preparing to know what comes next with a new season incoming, there was a letter at the door.
Sei was offered another season as academy manager here, which would be his third. The feelings flip, and a burning desire to be even better and meet new faces now fills him.
The gates open in front of the facility, and a mix of five unique bodies show up, eager to find what's in front of them.
He thinks to himself, @Bloodless should get in on this way of life. In fact, there might be a reality where they coach together.
