After finally starting to settle in a bit with his new team, AS Paris, Hoban Washburne decided he probably ought to look for an apartment rather than just live out of the hotel near the training grounds. One morning the day after a match, when the squad had off of training for rest, he started looking through various ads, wandered the area a bit, and started a genuine search to try to find a place he could call home for his time with AS Paris. Several of the places near the city center were too expensive - as a professional athlete, Wash could afford these places, but his sense of practicality won out in that he couldn't justify that amount of money on an apartment. He then started looking at places that were a little cheaper, but they were quite a way out from the city center, and that wouldn't quite work either - longer commutes to the training ground, more time on the trains where once he'd build up a fan base, he'd be stopped by everyone for autographs. Signing a few autographs here and there are fine, but a whole train worth? He didn't want the hassle.
Then almost as if by some divine stroke of luck, it appeared. A one-bedroom apartment in the 14th district, just west of the 13th arrondissement, for just under 2000 Euros a month. Beautiful place too - mostly white decor but with black marble countertops, a nice little offset area for a pantry and a washer/dryer, blue tiled shower with a glass door, and it was a decent size place too.
He made some calls that afternoon, got set up with a quick tour, and signed a new lease set to start the following week. No more hotel room, now he'd actually have a place to live in the city he'd plan on being in for the foreseeable future. The next morning in training, the joy was immeasurable. There was something extra put into every tackle, every pass, every key header.
(btw this is a real apartment, i did the research = https://simsoccer.jcink.net/index.php?showt...=60entry13281 )
