For a team to win the league the most important trait is consistency; with such strong competition teams cannot afford to drop points against inferior teams if they want to compete for the illustrious league win. With the completion of matchday eleven the SSL league is already half over, the favorites for the league title are starting to become clear. So without furtherado the Unatheltic will break down the favorites for the SSL League S4

Title Favorites:

After dropping points on matchday eleven CF Catalunya https://files.jcink.net/uploads2/simsoccer/teamEmotes/CFCat.png and victorious Tokyo S.C. https://files.jcink.net/uploads2/simsoccer/teamEmotes/TSC.png now sit tied atop the league at 26 points. The teams only separated by goal difference have a 4-point lead over Sydney City https://files.jcink.net/uploads2/simsoccer/teamEmotes/SYD.png . While not out of the running teams such as Seoul MFC https://files.jcink.net/uploads2/simsoccer/teamEmotes/SEO.png , AS Paris https://files.jcink.net/uploads2/simsoccer/teamEmotes/PAR.png and Hollywood FC https://files.jcink.net/uploads2/simsoccer/teamEmotes/HFC.png are all looking from the outside in the hunt for the trophy.

The Path: CF Catalunya https://files.jcink.net/uploads2/simsoccer/teamEmotes/CFCat.png
A decisive matchday comes quickly as on matchday 13, Tokyo S.C and CF Catalunya face off in what could be a decisive 6-point swing on the table. On matchday 15 CF Catalunya again has to face a title contender in Sydney City. For CF Catalunya two victories against the title rivals could be a massive step towards securing the league. However, two losses could quickly see CF Catalunya drop the top to mid table. Not to mention CF Catalunya has tricky games against mid table teams such as Cairo City.

The Path: Tokyo S.C. https://files.jcink.net/uploads2/simsoccer/teamEmotes/TSC.png
After the match against CF Catalunya on matchday 13 Tokyo S.C doesn’t face another top 3 team until matchday 19 against Sydney City. Other notable matches against good teams such as AS Paris and the Southeast Asian derby against Seoul MFC means Tokyo S.C will have to be on top of their games.

The Path: Sydney City https://files.jcink.net/uploads2/simsoccer/teamEmotes/SYD.png
Unlike title rivals Sydney sits a game back but will 11 games be reminding this is not an insurmountable goal at all. Sydney must handle their games against title favorites and can ill afford to drop points against any team below them.

The Path: The rest https://files.jcink.net/uploads2/simsoccer/Emoticons/ball_20px.png
The rest of the SSL waits for a miracle to take the league, a large win streak is required for any team to even enter contention. But us stuff members at the Unathletic eagerly await for a team to prove us wrong.

Yeah, dropping points against Buenos Aires put a dent in our title hopes where we had the driver's seat. Unlike Tokyo, we have more depth and are still in the cup. I think it's a bit of a double edged sword as we get deeper in the cup, but I really have faith in my players and I think they too have all collectively come together and bought into our program here. A win over Sydney City and Tokyo S.C. would certainly put us back in the driver seat where I wanna be.
