Simmer and BoD Punishments
#1
The following fines have been issued by the BoD.

1. During the S5 Prospect Draft, Board of Director members @sköldpaddor and @Canadice approved a trade involving a team's waiver position.

Section 6, Subsection 3, Rule 1.c. states that teams are able to trade their current position in the waiver order. However, at the time of the trade, no such order had been put in place for S5. As such, this trade should have never been approved. As such, both users will face a fine of 10% of their S4 job pay.

2. During the submissions of the S5 Expansion Draft protection lists, @RashfordU approved a team's protection list which omitted the inclusion of a player with a NTC. Because this player should have been included, the onus falls on the user conducting approvals. As such, RashfordU will face a fine of 10% of his S4 job pay.

3. On MD14 of Season 4 it was found that the simmer (@AgentSmith) did not import the correct tactics for

As this was AgentSmith's first infraction of the season, the BoD has decided to issue a fine of $100,000.

Today I learned being taken in an expansion is considered a trade

The player had a NTC, a "No Trade Clause", not a NMC, aka a "No Movement Clause". #2 fine is whack bro. Appeals Committee when?

To address the two comments above this.

The spirit of the rule of a no trade clause is no movement. That rule was written prior to any expansion discussion and thus never took into account the potential for expansion. Given we want to uphold player agency, as the board member who approved the exposed list for the team, I should have caught that and at bare minimum had a discussion with the team and the player.

A player with a No Trade Clause in their contract has negotiated the ability to stay with the team they signed with for the duration of that contract unless they specifically chose to waive it.

I self-reported this and would have no desire to appeal it

Well in the other leagues I've been in, I've seen the NMC and NTC separated, and have seen NTC players get selected in expansion. That's why i thought I'd ask!
