Sanmarinese Samurai #1 - An E.Y. Isagi Diary From Titano to Tokyo
#1
You know, even with my name being two thirds Japanese and being able to speak Japanes since fluently like my Pa, I don't think I can ever feel comfortable living here in Tokyo. Its like my the antithesis of my ideal place to live. I expect beautiful sun, rolling countryside, the most stunning of towns and, of course, the blessed and most serene Monte Titano. Instead of this, I am now living in a concrete jungle, with an interconnectivity that I could never even dream of seeing in my homeland. I could just walk for 10 minutes and I can catch a public transport link to almost anywhere around the city, and even out to the entire Japanese Home Islands. Its......rather soul shaking, when you think about it from the eyes from a more rural person. I am indeed way more used to Pizza, Pasta and Lasagne to Sushi, Ramen and Takoyaki.

Now that I have stayed here for a good amount of time since the SSL draft, I have learned a few things.
First off, I have noticed just how many people stare at me in public. I mean its to be expected, its not just the fact that that I am half Japanese and that there are parts of me that look so different to others in Tokyo, but since i was raised all my life in San Marino, I have a severe Sanmarinese accent that can catch so many off guard.
Secondly, the small apartment rooms can be such a pain to manage. I mean, I am grateful that I have a Kitchen and a Living Room, but oh my word is it so annoying when I have to think about how many I can house or if I can acquire so many home appliances or not. I honestly miss my home in that regards and I honestly wish to have one..........alas, space for a home on ground floor in Japan is.........minescule, at best.

I'll be writing into this diary from time to time, so who knows what will come up.

............probably chaos.
