Few people actually realise that China is one of many countries that helped create the beautiful game. While its roots, in terms of being an organised sporting event, certainly lay in the United Kingdom, China has a documented history of the sport being played there more than 2,000 years ago. As such, I believe the city of Yan'An deserves a team and I would gladly bring the SSL to the city, under the name of Inter Yan'An.

While Yan’An is far from the biggest city in China, it is well positioned to draw in crowds from a vast area — situated in the center of the Shaanxi province. In terms of the branding, it would be hard to look beyond a simple white kid with a red accent, while the branding and badge would simply have to feature the Terracotta Soldiers that have made the Shaanxi region famous on a global scale.

As such, I think it would only be right to name the stadium something along the lines of “The Fortress” or “The Barracks”. Leave the opposition with no doubt in their mind that when they arrive in this city in central China, they are there for a battle. Early on, we could even have the stands filled with replicas of the Terracotta Soldiers, so that the stadium appears to be a little more full, as the team establishes itself. Nobody needs another Emptihad Stadium.

My dream team would be located on the East coast of Atlantic Canada. It would be fun and amazing for a team to come to Newfoundland but knowing that wouldn't work as the island can maintain a team on it's own it would be shared by all Atlantic Provinces. The games would take place on a well built soccer pitch off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The view would be terrific during games whether it's early morning with the sunrise over the ocean or during the sunset as the game goes into the duckish time of day.

The team colors would be Green and Pink. Green for the bright grass and trees of the beautiful land we live on and pink for the sky and sunsets. The hopes would be a successful team who love to live and play for the Atlantic, as well as a stadium and field that all visitors love to play at. To get to the game you'd need to travel by boat. Vehicles will be left behind and the experience starts on the boat ride its self with pre drinking, great meals and pre party time. Once docked and onto the island you can take in the beautiful scenery as you make your way in.

So long as the island can fit it, there would be pubs with plenty to drink for the fans, great food and classics like fish and chips and other Atlantic delicacies. There would be places to stay as well in case the weather turns and boats can't travel. For game days it would be an absolute party central.

When thinking about a dreamteam, and introducing a new one to the SSL a few things need to be taken into consideration. Personally I have a few locations in mind that I feel could have a solid place in the SSL, and I will directly focus on two.

The first location I can think of that I personally would want a team is in Wellington, New Zealand for some Oceania representation. The kit I would go with is the all-black, with a white kiwi bird logo. Now this may be closer to the New Zealand national team kit but man it just works so damn well together, and is iconic and I feel a team in New Zealand would need to have these concepts. Naturally the team does the Haka before games as is tradition.

For my second team, I have a natural bias and would select a team in Poland, specifically Krakow which used to be the seat of kings. Realistically kit wise, I would not go down the route of imitating the national team, however I would stick to a regal blue or purple to play off the city being the historic seat of the monarchy in Poland, with the logo likely representing a Polish eagle, and a crown incorporated into it.

When thinking about potential places for a new SSL team I do think every continent could use at least 1 nation. In Europe I would love to have the Netherlands in there. But I can’t look past Germany which has been a footballing juggernaut, or any country in the east of Europe seeing as with Italy/France/Great Britain, England/Spain, Catalunya (tbh a great Spain-Catalunya rivalry would also be fun) all being in the west of Europe, Greece is the most eastern country in Europe, which leaves big gap in the north-east of Europe.

Mexico seems like a great entry for North America, to finish of the big 3 north American countries. Good theme’s for Mexico could be the ancient temples of the Aztecs as a nod to the people who lived in the location before. Or the Mexican Eagle being the national bird of Mexico.

Uruguay seems like the perfect nation for South America, being the host and winner of the first ever FIFA World Cup. I got to be honest of not knowing enough about Uruguay but just the football history would be a big reason for me to go for Uruguay in South America.

For the African continent we currently have a team in Ghana, Egypt, and South Africa. I think Morocco would be a great addition to these 3. Morocco having a good national team which become the first African team to reach the world cup Semi-final, Having won the 2022 CAF Champions League, and having a good history on top of this.

Last but not least in Asia+Oceania I do think having a new team in Australia would be a great addition, with Australia being kind of the oceanic nation playing in Asia, and with Sydney recently becoming Reykjavik after becoming league champions it would be great to have a Australian team back. For Oceania New Zealand would of course be a obvious choice with having an amazing Rugby team, and being the biggest footballing country in Oceania actually playing in Oceania. For Asia it would be great to have a team fill up the gigantic gap in western Asia, with Laos, South Korea, and Japan the east of Asia is pretty well-filled.

There are so many good choices on where to put a team. Europe is overdone and can be skipped for a bit.

In North America there is Mexico. Mexico would finish off the Canada, America, Mexico tri-fecta and with how football crazy the country is, its suprising we do not have a team here yet.

South America is also prime for an addition. There's Uruguay, the first world cup winners, who were dominant in the 20's and 30's. Colombia is big into their football.

Africa is ripe with countries who could have a team. With Morocco's recent success in the real life world cup, they could offer to be a great country to host a SSL team. A personal favourite of mine is always Madagascar. Other choices could be Senegal, Nigeria or Cameroon.

Despite not having much success on the international stage, Indonesia in Asia is massive into football. With how big the country is, it is almost shocking how they haven't been big international team. There are so many options in Asia, but I struggle to really pick point one. With the rise of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Georgia might be a fun country to include. It would be pretty unique.

Finally in Oceania there is New Zealand. Give us a kiwi team, I would absolutely love that.

My Dream Team is going to be situated down in Central America and would call its home San Jose, Costa Rica. I would of course put my Dream Team there because the team's mascot is going to be a sloth, and there is no better country to go with sloths than Costa Rica in my mind. We also have some teams in North America and teams in South America so I think that the location also makes sense logistically for the league.

I would want my Dream Team's colors to be unique compared to the rest of the league, but there is a pretty wide array of colors already represented with the existing teams. I would do some sort of... neon orange and black scheme for the team and our kits. I think that would be a good look and you could definitely work for some sort of orange sloth head for the kits. I would definitely want everything to be flashy and I think the neon works with that.

The motto for this Costa Rica dream team would be "Slow and steady wins the race." We would embrace the sloth lifestyle and realize that fast tempo isn't only what is important. Our fans would hopefully embrace this lifestyle as well and the stands wouldn't get too hectic so people can just enjoy themselves. I would want everyone to really embrace the sloth behind the team!

The Tottenham Red Squirrels is a new soccer team in the Simulation Soccer League, and they have already made waves with their impressive performance. The team is located in Tottenham, a vibrant and diverse neighborhood in the north of London. This location provides easy access to top-class training facilities and stadiums, making it an ideal base for the team.

The red and black color scheme is eye-catching and can give the team a distinctive look that sets them apart from other teams in the league. The motto "The Railway to Success" is also fitting, given Tottenham's history as a hub for transportation and trade.

The team could incorporate the railway theme into their branding, with a logo featuring a red squirrel riding a train or a track leading to a soccer ball. The team's uniforms could also feature railway-inspired designs, such as stripes or chevrons resembling train tracks.

In terms of the team's playing style, the railway theme could also be reflected in their tactics. The team could focus on quick, direct play that resembles the speed and efficiency of a train journey. The midfielders could act as conductors, directing the flow of play and orchestrating attacking moves.

Overall, the combination of the red and black color scheme, "The Railway to Success" motto, and railway-inspired branding and tactics could give the Tottenham Red Squirrels a unique identity and help them stand out in the Simulation Soccer League.
