#7 Navigating the Off-Season [Now Open to S13 Players]

Obviously Franco Torres was a big pickup but you cannot rely everything onto one player, hence why Aimo is training harder than ever before<br><br>First and foremost Aimo needed to upgrade his mental side of all things, especially his composure. We all know Aimo from his earliest of days scoring some insane long shot goals during his first season with Buenos Aires, but we have not seen that side of him anymore, not in a few seasons or so. Consistency is the key to everything, and Aimo needs to be able to perform consistantly for Buenos Aires if they wish to stay in the Division 1 for more than just 2 seasons. <br><br>Second of all, his technical skills do need a significant improvement. His passing and technique are superb but other than those two attributes in his kit he is just okay in all of the rest. Long shots, free kick taking, and especially his &quot;key&quot; attributes such as dribbling and finishing have needed an improvement for a longer period of time. Despite Aimo having his most succesful season stat-wise with 7 goals and 5 assists to his name, he could have had a lot more if he had more technicality in him. <br><br>Buenos Aires hired one of the most dominant midfielders in his playing career to advice them during Buenos Aires' annual intense camp - none other than Fernando Gago. With Gago's help on mental side of all things, Aimo has able to maintain his composure like ever before in much challenging scenarios. Gago gathered all of the fastest and most agile players in Buenos Aires roster and made them play piggy in the middle with no more than 2 touches per person, preferably one - with max intensity and speed. It is often tough to find the time to train at times for Spack but when he does, it is honestly soccer that he enjoys the most. The combination of the fresh air and limited equipment really provides him with a level of enjoyment that most of the other practices don't. Obviously this applies to when the weather is nice out.<br><br>When training for soccer, Jarrow likes to focus on repetition as he believes it is the memory of the muscle that does most of the work when he is in games. He has found this to be true for all the sports that he partakes in and it has helped him to reach the level of success that he has achieved. So that means a lot of heading practice, player marking, and cone shuttle drills. Often going from one to another and back to the beginning and starting all over. Not many people have the patience or fortitude to stick with such a training regiment but Jarrow silently enjoys the mundane exercises and the ability to zone out the outside distractions and just work on his task.<br><br>Being a part of Team Zambia, Jarrow often finds himself training with Mikko Rashford. Now an ex-teammate, these two were often un-separable on the practice field at times. Rashford's offensive abilities were a great way to train against for a defensive back like Jarrow who would take any change he could get to go 1 on 1 against a player and shut them down. Although Rashford probably gave just as well as he took in the exchanges over the years.<br><br>And finally, maybe the most important part of Spack Jarrow's training regime. The one thing you must always do, every day. No matter what. 100 Pushups, 100 Sit Ups, 100 Squats and a 10KM run. She's focused on some of her defensive play in her role in Tokyo, paying close attention to the directions her managers have given her, dutifully running drills and such and figuring out the best way to contribute to the squad. Then she got loaned to Seoul to help mentor her brother's godson, which was a weird mission to be sent on (why are men always trying to get women to do the work they don't want to do - learn to play soccer yourself, Gunnar) but it let her focus on some of the other things she hadn't really gotten to focus on before. She spent that off season working on some of her babysitting knowledge, only to discover that her pseudo-nephew is actually a fully grown adult, so that part was a little disappointing, but at least she knows how to take care of kids now. <br><br>On the whole, though, while she always has a few things to keep working on and she obviously stays in peak condition so she can come back strong the next season, Helena's off season routine is to treat the off season like the break that it is. She thinks that having a healthy level of balance between one's professional and personal life is incredibly important - if your head isn't in the right place, no matter how much training you do, you're never going to live up to your full potential. So she always makes sure to spend the off-season taking at least two or three weeks of time to do nothing soccer-related at all. She goes on trips with her wife, out on the ocean in Eirlys's boat, and the two of them don't talk about soccer at <i>all</i> for those few precious weeks. It sounds counterintuitive, but it really does help her come back refreshed and with renewed enthusiasm for the sport she's given so much of her life to.<br><br><b><span style='color:blue'>APPROVED</span></b>

His off-season consists of waking up and smashing back a bacon or black pudding roll every single morning. Chased by a pint of strong coffee. <br>He then puts his VR headset on and opens the app Les Mills Body Combat and bashes out a couple of 15 minute boxing sessions. <br>What comes next is the key to DeeDee Yokers talent. He locks himself in a pitch black room for an hour and a half and watches non-stop Roberto Carlos highlights. Learning how to play like the pint sized player is key. <br>Once he's finished relaxing in his Roberto Carlos shrine, he goes out to his jacuzzi and relaxes for 29 minutes usually listening to some form of fantasy audiobook. From there he goes to the sauna for 20 minutes just letting the sweat pool around him and the muscles ease off.<br>He follows that up with 20 press ups, 20sit ups 20 star jumps and 20 Burpees all followed by a 10k run. Doing this every day keeps him in a good enough shape to be able to eat whatever food he wants with no fear of puttin on weight.<br>Which brings us to the key part of DeeDee Training regimen. The food.<br>Every day is cheat day for DeeDee. Every breakfast is a different sample of the various fast food joints breakfast menus with particular favourite being the triple sausage mcmuffin. Every lunch he'll sample the various sub shops around the town. Every dinner trying out various takeaways, restaurants, good vans. Whatever takes his fancy. The only constant is the Friday night doner kebab pizza. Which comes fully laden with kebab meat, chili sauce, salad sauce &amp; salad. His toilet bowl takes an absolute pounding every Saturday morning<br><br><b><span style='color:blue'>APPROVED</span></b>

Shion Okamoto and I have known each other since we were both drafted to Catalunya in the first expansion draft. Since S2, we've worked together trying to help build up our new club. We've managed to win 2 SSL Cups and a SSL Founder's Shield. We were the first successful expansion club to claim a trophy and whilst we have yet to win the SSL League Title, we have always been one of the top clubs in the league. In order to maintain our competitive spirit and progress our skills, we've trained together in the offseasons. Since I grew up in Catalunya, I always offer my teammates and other professional footballers a place to stay in the offseason. The beaches here are beautiful and there's a thriving football culture here. You will meet lots of professional footballers coming to vacation and train here in the offseason, as well as other professional athletes. I love my home and I welcome everyone that comes here (except for Franco Torres, not that a Castilian would want to come here anyways). <br><br>Shion Okamoto and I play different positions, with him playing a bit higher up the pitch and sometimes out wide on the right, while I'm more of a defensive players who sits deep. I think a lot about football and I like being able to pick apart the brains of others, especially those in other positions. I feel like by understanding my teammates better, I'll be able to position myself better and pick them out easier during the match. It also allows me to think about how my opponents in other positions might think about or react to certain scenarios. Overall, having chemistry is important and we will need it if we want to compete for the title. If we can keep pushing each other and developing each other's game, we can sharp each other's skills.<br><br>Being in Catalunya, we have access to a lot of to pro-am competitions in 7 v 7 competitions. Here, we have a lot of nice outdoor pitches, even some by the beach. Beach soccer is another fun way to have fun in the sun and get to bond with some of the other players in the league. Someone who I've had the opportunity to play with is Jay Jay Okocha whose been on loan at our club twice now. Getting to play with someone of his creativity and flair outside of the pitch reminds me of the fun we had as kids trying to copy our heroes. It's incredible to watch him play and I feel honoured to have trained and played alongside him. He's easily one of the most exciting players in the league and I'm glad he'll be joining us. Offseason training is always fun in Catalunya and I invited some of my fellow workers to come and join me on the beaches and pitches in beautiful Catalunya this upcoming summer!<br><br><b><span style='color:blue'>APPROVED</span></b>

While he spends his entire season in Catalunya with his club, after the season is over, he often likes to get back to his home country of Japan to recharge after a grueling schedule of regular season and cup matches. Okamoto does not do much strict training during this time, it is more for visiting family and enjoying being in his favourite places. While it may seem that this time would not do much to prepare Okamoto for the upcoming season, it is a very important part of his offseason. The time to mentally recharge is a very important facet of the offseason for Okamoto.<br><br>Once he spends some time back in Japan, Okamoto returns to Catalunya to get back to the training ground. He does some individual training at first, mostly in the gym to ensure that he stays in shape while not playing Catalunya's regular matches.<br><br>After this, Okamoto likes to do a lot of training with his long time friend and teammate, Budget Busquets. Many Catalunya FC fans know this, but Budget Busquets and Shion Okamoto were the first members of the inaugural Catalunya FC roster, and their many seasons in the league together have let them develop some very great chemistry on the field. Therefore, it naturally make it easy for them to keep up their training together, and make sure that they'll be in sync during the upcoming season.<br><br>Often times, you can even see Okamoto and Busquets out in the community playing football with the locals. While the two players tend to take their offseason training very seriously, they also take it as a time to have fun before the grind of the season starts. Hopefully, this upcoming offseason will allow them to lead Catalunya to new heights next season and a league title.<br><br><b><span style='color:blue'>APPROVED</span></b>

Now, some people may think that Jannik just goes all out in his training and overdoes it to keep in great form but really, he keeps it pretty light and manageable on the physical front. He does his on field workouts with goalkeeper coach Kostas Ioannidis and takes some shots from the younger players usually as well to try and get some angle work in and such and just keep being used to seeing the different kinds of shots he will normally see when it comes time for games. Other than that, he adds some light cardio and weight work as well in addition to maintaining his healthy diet which has been made easy living in Greece with so many fresh options such as vegetables and fish.<br><br>As far as his mind goes, Jannik is huge in terms of keeping his mind active and does it in a lot of different ways. As far as the game goes, he does a lot of scouting on opponents and their formations especially on set pieces and such so he knows and can get a better grip on setting up his defenses when it comes time. He also uses it to see which opponent strikers and scorers normally do in terms of moves, preferred foot, shot location and power and hopes to use this to better position himself and work well against opponents. Jannik Andersen also likes to keep his brain moving as well and will often participate in many trivia nights around town as well as mathematics competitions which is something many don't know about him. He finds it important to keep his brain as strong or stronger than his body to be the best keeper he can be in the SSL.<br><br><b><span style='color:blue'>APPROVED</span></b>

It's the principle to do an unrelated sport activity and that it will bring good thing for the main sport. The sport that Ricky choose is Nascar. That's right , Ricky Bobby started racing again ! It's quite simple , in both sport you go fast. So Ricky think that if he go fast in Nascar , he will go fast on the pitch. He choose to race in Daytona and Talladega. Those were his two favorite tracks when he was still racing<br><br>Second, Ricky Bobby decided to gain some weight. You may remember that he choose to get fit in a previous offseason. But having the body of a Greek god doesn't help Ricky very much. He is somehow slowler and less effective than before. So Ricky decided to start drink Rhum and coke again. One with every breakfast. He also started to eat 3 hotdog every morning and one cheese burger after every run. He decided to replace every Gatorade with some bud light. His beer gut his back and Ricky feel in peak physical shape.<br>He also decide to stop going to the gym, it's a wasted of time and it was interfering with his tv time.<br><br>Third , Ricky have decided go unlearn the game of soccer. Bobby is a natural and if he know too much about soccer theory, it gets into his head and he lose his skills. To unlearn the game Ricky have started following the game of volleyball. It's really different than soccer so he sometimes get confused on the pitch. Also Ricky stopped playing Fifa 13 and started playing super mega baseball 3. It's to confuse his body. <br><br>Ricky feels ready for next season and he has not doubt that he will once again be first. While last season was easily the best season of Stains' career so far, it is proven that he has a long way to go on the journey to truly becoming one of the best midfielders in the SSL. 3 goals and 4 assists in 14 appearances is the most Stains has contributed offensively thus far. Going into next season, it looks like Wesley Stains will end up back with his home club, Cairo City FC in Division 2. <br><br>Cairo City had a rough season, being one of the worst teams in the second division. While having a losing season is never fun, the benefit is getting a high draft pick, and Cario took advantage of this by bringing in 3 great new youngsters. In order to get chemistry with his new teammates in Cairo, Stains will be staying in Egypt to train and mentor the new rookies. The SSL is a harsh league that will kick your butt in the early days of your career, so Stains wants to use this time in the offseason to not only improve his own skills but get the young players ready to improve off of last season. <br><br>As for his personal training, Stains decided he needed to hit the gym heavily in the offseason. While very talented technically and solid mentally, Stains had neglected his physical abilities for quite some time. In order to solve this issue, Stains has focused on his strength, agility, balance, and jumping reach. This physical training will allow him to dominate the less experienced players in Division 2, giving him more leeway to use his playmaking and scoring abilities. <br><br>302 words<br><br><b><span style='color:blue'>APPROVED</span></b>
