So the first step of his off season training is to check in in therapy. They will work on the roots of his gambling addiction. It is long due cause Ricky lost a lots of money to gambling. They are rumours that he don't have money and lost all of of racing and soccer money. To make sure that he stop gambling, Mikko Rashford the player general manager, will now manage all of Ricky money and purchase. Ricky have accepted it cause he want to be a better player

The second way that Ricky Bobby will get better in the off season, is by actually learning the game of soccer. If you recall , Ricky was a Nascar driver , that got in a car accident and started running fast. His speed was spotted by Hollywood scouts and it's like that that his soccer career started. But he still doesn't know how to play the damn game ! So he started watching soccer shoe like Ted lasso and Shaolin Soccer. He started playing Fifa 12 on his PlayStation 5. He feels like he is starting to get the hang of it and soon he will be able to understand the offside rule.

The third way that Ricky will be a better soccer player, is by getting in shape. He have kind of a beer gut and he want to get rid of it. To do so he switched to diet Pepsi and started running at least 2 minutes every day. He lost 2 pounds in the last 3 months and he feel like he is trending toward the right direction. He will never give up burritos though.

With all those steps , Ricky will become the best soccer player ever !

APPROVED

Fara Dian player page
CPT #3

"You must look back before you can move forward." Such words hold far too many meanings for Fara Dian as Season 10 approaches. The immediate past of Season 9 is rather painful, another finish at the bottom of the table despite all the promise. Luck was in short supply, but new teammates in the form of promising rookies and a new veteran presence keep things hopeful. Looking a bit further back, Fara watched Buenos Aires, the team that originally drafted him, win the SSL Cup and wonders a little bit about what could have been. But he would never trade his current team for any number of titles.

And then there is the biggest collision of past and future: the team in Accra is moving to Germany! From an African country very near his own birthplace and his father's homeland, Fara will now be playing his mother's homeland! There is much excitement and nervousness among the whole team, but perhaps none more than in Fara's heart. After saying goodbye to Ghana, Fara decided to take a little detour before joining the squad in Pforzheim.

His offseason was spent not too far over the border to the childhood home where he first began to truly think the game of football: Bern, Switzerland. He rented an apartment near the stadium there and reconnected with the academy that trained him as a kid and teenager. Fara helped with drills and classes for the current students, but also spent time talking and training with the coaches around his own game.

Having moved all around the pitch during his time in Accra, it's become clear that he's more valuable in the attacking half and has a role to play on the right flank. It requires a vastly different mindset than his early career in the defensive midfield. Here in this place that taught him the formal, strategic elements of football, it was time to unleash his creative thinking. Here where teenage Fara was shown the game in triangles and squares, he was now asked to recall kid Fara's exuberant and unstructured play as in the parks of Casablanca.

APPROVED

However, for me, this is also the harderst periods for me to deal with as I use this time to widen my field of play. Right now, my main position is as an attacking midfielder. And as much as I enjoy having impace from further up the field, I also understand how limited I can be if I don't provide myself with some alternate positions to be able to fill out, because if I leave myself as a one trick pony, there won't be much game time in the future if there is someone who can fill out more that what I usually do......which is a rarity in my honest opinion. That, or if you play in a spot that the formations doesn't accomodate for.

So in my case, I'm luck that I can fill in well as a natural CM, since I usually drop back to make use of my vision and spray out passess to my forwards. Although I don't get to be as far forwards to start off as I wish, it does give me more space and time to make my next decision wisely. However, I have always been interested in my chances to try and score as a player, and I have the belief that an attacking midfielder can be just as much a goalscorer as the striker in front of him, so I also apply my trades out as I striker. I will admit, its not easy since my aerial game is probably my weakest area as a player, but I do think that I can make it work out on the field, and if I am ever needed to play as the #9, I think I can do so rather well.

APPROVED

Notably, he is right now reflecting on how he was in the beginning of his career, so focused on playing defense and a good transition game, and not at all focused on offense. He thinks about how this changed over the course of his career, when Tokyo needed him to get a more diversified set of skills to help the team get the success it has had over the past several seasons.

There is no regret on how his career started and how focused his skills were at the beginning. It's clear to GOAT that it was better for him to focus on the basics and being a strong reliable defensive player in the midfield, and being a good vector of the transition game between defense and offense, before training to become what is now known in the Tokyo locker room as the GOAT CANNON.

That training to become the GOAT CANNON happened over a few seasons, and it's all a while ago now. When GOAT realized that it could be the next step in his progression, he talked with the coaching staff and they were all delighted to see he wanted to start working on a powerful yet accurate shot to blast from high up, even beyond the reparation surface. GOAT took time during that offseason to train in France with all the great players of the country's rich soccer history, such as Henry Thierry, Dinezine Dizane and Mylian K'Bappe. They taught him all the tricks that served them all so well during their long and successful careers.

When GOAT returned to Tokyo for the beginning of the season, he was already a bigger offensive threat that he ever hoped to, and yet over the next few seasons he kept working on this shot to get to the level he is at now,

APPROVED

Not because he changed clubs, no - Karl has always been a faithful one. Instead, Karl got his whole club to change, to become german. In turn, Karl has been spending a lot of time with his teammates on and off the court, on the training pitch, in bars. Helping them get accustomed to this new environment. And of course, helping them get better on the pitch.

To help his teammates on the pitch, Karl had to broaden his skillset. Merely running, tackling and hoofing long clearances wasn't going to help his teammates improve - in fact, it was more of the opposite. So Karl had to adapt.

Within a few weeks of his newfound responsibilities as the team's glue guy trying to keep everyone happy, Karl showed visible improvement just by training with his teammates, watching them, giving them feedback on how to improve. With his goalie, the Mongol with the weird name, Karl trained simple goalie drills, and himself got better at his accuracy. With Thomas Lellewyn, the captain and rock in defense, he discussed the strategic positioning of the back four, and trained headers with him until it got dark. And Schenkinger, the honest-to-god but flairless destroyer of the beautiful game, slowly developed something that could be called a crossing game.

The list goes on: Timing through balls to runs, acting as a dummy for free kick training - Schenkinger did it all this offseason, and as a result got a better, more versatile player. No longer is he restricted to being the brainless destruction machine in the defensive midfield, Schenkinger has grown his game to be both better in the central midfield, connecting the team, and holding it together in the back four.

As he will be the local hero for most of the fans, his newfound versatility will come in handy to get more playtime, as the team will seriously eye promotion for the first time since Karl has joined.

(336 words)

APPROVED

This off season to improve his abilities Tamanna seeked training help with an unlikely athlete. Instead of seeking help from another soccer player Tamanna seeked out the help of Alex Armstrong, the defensive end for the San Jose Sabercats in the International Simulation Football League. Alex has been voted to the Pro Bowl each of his first two seasons in the ISFL, he is one of the top young talents in the league. The two met and bonded over their shared local community events with the Nature Conservancy. Together Tamanna and Alex coached each other through training drills that the other didn't know about before. Alex shared some upper body strength conditioning trainings while Tamanna shared dibbling skills to improve quick foot control. They met together at one of the most iconic sports arenas in the united states Los Angeles Coliseum. A location that hosts one of the most prestigest college footballs teams, but additionally has hosted World Cup matches. It seemed like a great location for them to introduce and teach each other these new training regimes. Tamanna really enjoyed working with someone who has a different perspective regarding sports and physical fitness. Working out different muscle groups allowed tamanna to really learn how to improve his technique in set pieces to break away from a marking opponent to be wide open for the connecting header and shot on goal. Tamanna feels confident he could fit in near the front of the formation as a wide winger or even a striker. Tammanna has had a few long distance goals, but getting more opportunities to score would be a nice difference to what he has exprienced so far in his career. Ultimately Tamanna is happy staying in back as the team's main central defender, but likes knowing he can be relied upon to fill in at other positions.

APPROVED

Felix Arasov, a veteran Cairo wingback, has been training hard to become an attacking winger. As a natural right flank player, he is determined to take on a more offensive role and help his team struggles with attack.

Arasov possesses the ideal attributes for a wingback, including exceptional pace, stamina, and work rate. However, he realized that he needs to improve his dribbling skills and finishing ability to excel as a winger or inside forward. Therefore, he has been working diligently with his coach to learn the tricks and techniques required to become a successful winger.

During training sessions, Arasov has been practicing his dribbling by taking on defenders in one-on-one situations. He has been learning how to create space for himself by using feints and quick changes of direction. In addition, his coach has been teaching him how to make intelligent runs and position himself in the right areas to receive the ball.

Arasov has also been practicing his shooting and finishing skills by taking shots from various angles and distances. He has been working on his accuracy and power, ensuring that he can place the ball accurately into the back of the net.

One of the biggest challenges for him was adjusting to the different defensive responsibilities that came with playing as a winger. Araov had to learn how to press and defend from the front, something that he hadn't done as a wingback. He managed to track down some training time with Seoul MFC and got to work with Liam Ryan and Hugh Mann, to work on his ability to play off the center line. While Müller has plenty of experience and training playing both as a Defensive Midfielder and a Center Midfielder, he has not been as comfortable at his tertiary position of Right Wingback. Müller doesn’t really anticipate being called upon to play at that particular position anytime soon, but he still feels like it would be in his best interest to be an effective player at that position should there ever be a need for it. Müller is a big fan of versatility, and while he’s more comfortable operating from the middle of the field, he’s also more defensively minded, so he was very excited to try to get some help at expanding his comfort with the wingback position.

Müller had this to say about the experience:
“It was really awesome, getting the opportunity to work with Liam and Hugh. They’re two of the most experienced wingbacks in all of the SHL. They’ve both got a fantastic work ethic, and a great deal of enthusiasm for the game. They did a great job of explaining stuff to me, and we ran some good drills and practices together. I thank them, and the Seoul MFC organization as a whole, for being willing to work with me and help me get better at the game of football. While I know it may sound surprising, that teams would be willing to help their opponents, I think it’s something that makes our league special. I think that Seoul recognizes – and I’d like to think the rest of the league does, too – that when we put a better product on the field, it makes the whole league better.”

(323 words)

APPROVED
