Guillaume Desormeaux : A New Beginning
#1
The name Guillaume Desormeaux will not immediately ring a bell, even to the most fanatical follower of the Simulation Soccer League, but it is a name to remember for the coming years. The young Canadian, hailing from Boisbriand, Québec, has just declared his interest in joining the SSL Academy program, where prospects attempt to make a name for themselves, in the hopes of one day being scouted and signed by one of the clubs in the two top divisions in simulation soccer.

Desormeaux’s game is one built upon his ability to burst on the wide channels with the ball on his feet and picking out an attacker in the final third of the pitch with accuracy and velocity. His game also suits a more withdrawn position, such as a wing back, but he feels most at home on the right flank of the midfield, a position he has held for his youth clubs throughout his teenage years. Although he is an unknown to the many international managers that form the SSL, Desormeaux feels like he could make an impact on an academy roster and show his potential as both a supporter of attacking threats, and as a decent defender. With the tenth official season of the league drawing to a close, Desormeaux felt like it was an opportune time to declare for the academy program, in the hopes that he will see plenty of playing time during the off-season, and hopefully win himself a contract in the second division of the SSL.
