Welcome to the new SSL Forum!
#1
Welcome!
After a week of hard work we are finally ready to open up the gates to the new SSL forum! While some things look the same (like the different Assistant tools) there are many differences that I will try to highlight in this post that you should be aware of.

A New URL
This forum is self-hosted, meaning that we have made the decision to change from a default jcink url to something we can work around. The forum is now found at forum.simulationsoccer.com!

User information
Much of the user information from jcink has been migrated correctly to this new forum, but there are a couple of things that has not. First of all you will need to reset your password before logging in the first time. Next your avatar and your signature has not been transferred correctly so you will need to fix those as well. We have created an instructional video covering many of the new user settings that you should look at and follow first.

Formatting
If you try and edit a post that was originally created in jcink, it will not look as you would expect. The migration process did not copy the bbcodes
Code:
ex. [b]for bold text[/b]
but instead the evaluated output. If you want to edit a post you will need to "rewrite" the entire post to bbcodes in the full editor instead.

TPE Checklist
The TPE checklist looks a bit different than the previous one. The current checklist does not cover the capped tasks Articles, Podcasts and Graphics but will notify you of all the other tasks you have available for you every week.

Forum Clock
We have added a forum clock that shows the current time of the league, located beside the user information at the of the forum. This is mostly used to indicate when the week officially changes and is used to note deadlines for tasks. Unless another time is specified, if the deadline is only specified by a date, it means 23:59 (11:59 PM) PST/PDT (daylight savings) on that date.

Bug Report Form
In the menu at the top of the forum there is a link to a Bug Report Form. Please use it in case you find something wrong with the forum or encounter some forum behavior you are not expecting.

We hope that you will find the quality of life upgrades we have in the new forum as great as we have testing it out this past week!
