I would like to know a little more, and for the benefit of anyone else curious about the same things, I'll ask openly here @FuriousChicken :

How does the award committee do its work?
Is it discord chatter while poring over CSV files / google sheets?

Is the committee's workload mostly after the close of each season?
Do award committee folks sit and wait for a complete dataset, or winnow the field a bit as the season goes on?

How has FM24 changed the stats available to help determine awards?
Do we have more/better data?

Of course I can answer these questions.
1: How does the award committee do its work:
What has happened for the previous seasons is:
A - the Award Committee Head gathers the data and brings it together in a google sheet for every player who has played at least half of the games (not counting friendly/cup/shield), divided on position.
B - Based on this google sheet the award committee will vote on the players in each position they think deserve to be on the shortlist. Based on this vote a shortlist is made.
C - The award committee+the managers vote on who they think (from the shortlist) deserve to be in the actual team of the season.
D - After this is all complete there is a final award committee vote to determine the 3 "alternate" (substitutes) for the team of the season.
All of these steps are taking place for both the major and minor league separately (but at the same time). Also some changes to the format can be talked about in the award committee (an example is the change from the winger position (LM/AML/AMR/RM) to the attacking mids position (LM/AML/AMC/AMR/RM) in the team of the season back in S10)

2: When is the workload: The workload is indeed after the season, once all the data is put into the index.

3: How has FM24 changed the stats available: We use the statistics as the index gives them to us. Which means for FM24 there are some added statistics to determine the votes on (for example expected assists, or the amount of successful presses)

I hope this answers the questions you had @woog

First off welcome @Froste39 to the award committee.

For the rest I wanna let people who would be interested in joining the award committee know we are still looking for 1-2 more people, so feel free to send me a message if you have any questions and/or are interested in joining the award committee. Like mentioned in the announcement post from last week the job pay will be going up starting next season.
