Good start to life at Medellin
#1
After being assigned to the Colombia-based team Atlético Medellín, BJ Munro was quite happy. Not only was he about to start his journey in the SSL, but he was also going to be able to do so in a Spanish speaking country.

So far, it’s been a decent start for the Chilean midfielder. With a decent performance in Atlético’s win against Victoria Falls, BJ quickly got comfortable with his new teammates. He also managed to explore the city, reportedly ending up in some shady neighbourhood. Nervous and trying to leave the area, Munro was approached by an armed individual. Fearing for his life, BJ got a relieving surprise when he realised that the criminal was an Atlético fan who only wanted a selfie with the new player.

The next days went smoothly for the Chilean, who felt completely safe around the city knowing that most criminals would actually prefer to take pics with him rather than rob him. According to some teammates, this sense of security contributed to BJ’s performances in training, which were then reflected in a commanding performance against Stockholm IF topped off by his first ever assist for the team.

Already quite confident and comfortable at his new home, BJ is looking like a perfect fit for the Colombian side, who’ll try to strengthen their attack by including him and teammates Prosper and Hagglund in a hopefully deadly front 3.
