Draft Day

The academy season has come and gone and Cormier has done evrything he can to make an impression on the operational managers of the simulation soccer league. Stockholm finished first in the Academy, and Cormier even managed to net a goal to pad his stats. But there's so much that goes into selecting a player at the draft and as confident as he felt in his performance, there was an air of uncertainty about how the day would go heading into the draft. It's always been Cormier's dream to make the SSL, and truly he would have been more than happy to play for any team that was willing to draft him. Lucky for Cormier, he wouldn't have to wait long to find out where he was going to go. The draft started and right off the bat the twists and turns started. It was announced that Hollywood had traded the 3rd overall pick and a 2nd round selection next season in a balls-to-the-walls move to secure 1st overall. And with that selection they had no hesitation in announcing that Cormier would be their guy. Hollywood was a team that Cormier had great chats with prior to the draft and he knew he was heading to a world class organization. While currently rebuilding, the future is bright in Hollywood given last season's insane crop of rookies, followed by a 1st overall selection this draft which sees Cormier added to the crop of youngsters that will make up this organization's bright future.
