The pressure that comes with captaincy
#1
Clara never really thought of herself as the leader type. Sure she likes to show off so it's not exactly a matter of "being too shy" to lead, far from that. If anything she prefers to mind her own business and follow whatever lead she is given. So when the rest of her teammates selected her to become Montreal's captain it is safe to say she had mixed feelings about it. On one hand, she was happy that her teammates had such trust in her on the other hand she was a bit nervous about the whole deal. The first thought on her mind was of course how to be a leader the team deserves. Luckily for her, there were quite the great example before her eyes. After all her great friend Zhihao Wang was the captain for Montreal up until he was called up. So she was pretty much just trying to mimic him, how to lead by example, how to motivate the team, and so on. Speaking of Leading by example, she also put more effort into training, which seems to be paying off so far. Of course, she still has a lot to learn on how to be a great leader and how to deal with the pressure that comes with it but she is on a good way to do so.
