The league has officially started its 17th season. União São Paulo along with the tip of the spear, Nerve De Groot, faced off against CA Buenos Aires. The match, watched by many in the Netherlands, saw União São Paulo attempt to equalize after a late first half score by the opposition. Despite the best efforts of De Groot and his team, the match would end 1-0.
