The Early Career of Joe Mamba
#1
Coming up in the very small football academy system in the British Territory of Gibraltar, Joe Mamba had an easy time beating vacationer's children and the few other local children that also live near him on the pitch. With his natural gifts of speed and agility, Mamba would simply out athletic his opponents in his early years, dribbling past them and around defending keepers. Once Joe Mamba reached the U18 squad at the age of eleven years old, he decided to invest fully into his footballing career and moved to a local Spanish academy. Due to developments back in England (Brexit), Joe Mamba had to move away from his home and to Spain as there is no longer free movement between Gibraltar and Spain. This move came with a large shock to Mamba as the level of competition sharply rose by moving from a pool of players supplied by a population less than forty thousand to one with more than forty eight million. Joe had to go back to fundamentals with working on ball control and strength training as all the upper class man would just exploit his inexperience with stronger competition. After many years of putting time into his technical abilities, Joe Mamba has moved to a larger academy. All that he waits for now is to be given a chance by one of the many teams in the SSL

As Joe's teammate, I can attest that Joe is a dawg. All his work with his fundamentals has paid off, and he has ended up a truly incredible player and teammate. His various experiences with different cultures have helped him be an amazing teammate in the locker room, and I can confirm the rumors of him helping various teammates (maybe me) with personal aspects, soccer aspects, as well as hell just being an inspiring person. Being teammates with Joe has helped me grow as a person. On top of that, Joe has helped me improve my soccer skills. I have had terrible ball control throughout my whole career, and I'm not afraid to admit it. However, working with them has helped me feel like I know more about what I'm doing, instead of being lost when people talk about it. Although I can't speak specifically for my teammates, I know Sydney City as a whole was overjoyed to land you when we did, and you've been key in our rise from a projected last place in the league (by far) finish to currently being at the top of the league, with a clear direction that this team is heading. Thank you.

(this is all in character btw)
