North Shore Offense Is Torrid Through Five Games
#1
It’s been quite the positive start to North Shore United’s S18 minor league campaign.

After five matches, the club finds itself second in the league, trailing only Seoul MFC in the standings. North Shore has accumulated 11 points, two fewer than Seoul’s 13, on the back of three match wins, two match draws, and zero losses. They’ve mostly been successful blitzing their opposition with unrelenting goal scoring.

In their season-opener at AS Paris, North Shore netted a whopping seven total goals en route to a five-goal victory to set the tone. They followed that win up with a pair of draws, 3-3 against F.C. Kaapstad and 4-4 at Montreal United before beginning a little streak that has yet to conclude: a 4-2 win hosting Athenai F.C; a 6-2 shellacking of Inter London in England.

North Shore’s lowest goal output in any single match so far this season is three goals, and that occurred just once. They are averaging 4.8 goals per contest. Their 24 total goals scored is far and away the best mark in the minor leagues, being a full six goals better than the next highest. North Shore also boasts a league best 11 goals for/goals against differential.

Needless to say, to keep up with North Shore’s torrid offense, teams may have to push tempo a little more than they otherwise might against another opponent. That could be a challenge for Cairo City, who next travels into North Shore territory on December 14, before North Shore gets a chance to net points against the league leading Seoul MFC on December 18.
