We're Going to the Finals
#1
União São Paulo has achieved what it has been after all season: a spot in the finals! After many impressive matches, the SSL cup has its final two teams: União São Paulo and Reykjavik United. This represents a major milestone for São Paulo as this is their first time making it to the finals. In addition, Reykjavik United are the defending champions.  In the second leg of the semifinals against Tokyo S.C.,, the match started with a score of 1-0 from the last leg. In the 17th and 42nd minutes, Zach Mulder and Cotswold, earning a yellow card just 8 minutes earlier, found their marks and brought the score up to 3-0. This, however, would not last as in the second half, Jia Yun would score for Tokyo in the 74th minute. Throughout the rest of the match both sides hammered away at one another until the final whistle. In the end, the aggregate stood at 3-1, União São Paulo. The match was a hard fought victory as both sides had the same amount of possession but São Paulo would put more pressure on Tokyo than vice versa. With the finals now set, perhaps the most important match of many careers will begin very soon.
