This player (not this task) was made with AI.

I've been in this league since S9, but I've managed to avoid learning how team play works. How? By playing a keeper for my first player. All the fun, all the wins and losses, none of the player-player interaction on the field.

I cherished building up Muunokhoi Sarantsatsral's character as an oddball fond of hallucinogenic mushrooms and dreams of tearing down the Great Wall of China in a retaking of Inner Mongolia for Mongolia proper. All while not particularly learning the subtleties of FM2x through FM24.

I write alternate history, and I've become fairly decent at querying AI chatbots to get them to help me find and especially cross-reference online sources. I hate AI writing, but I like AI as a way of accelerating obscure web searches.

So, I put those (alleged) skills to use for the SSL. I asked 2 different online AIs to help build me a player. I even taught them about spending TPE for attribute points, and invited them to reconsider the tactical value of anything I might spend on in the context of a league where everyone has 20 Natural Fitness and 20 Stamina.

Broadly, I had fun. It was silly and entertaining. AI even helped me selecting a Nahuatl player name - together we picked a rather over-the-top one (Tlacaelel was the name of a massively influential vizier-like man in the Aztec Triple Alliance). And, in the interest of chaos, I went for a combination of positions few would put together: striker and left wingback. Why? Being good at two disconnected positions will greatly simplify player choices by pointing me toward traits and point buys both positions value.

And now I get 10 seasons or so to use this player to actually learn how teamplay works in FM24.

Saying this wasn't made by AI is exactly something an AI would say. Suspicious.

I jest, and this was definitely an entertaining read, hopefully which has broadened your understanding of FM24. For a higher graded article, I'd suggest an article that has more narrative involvement or allows engagement but a strong consistent command of sentence structuring did make this pleasant to read.

Media grade 3/5
