SSL S20 Broken Records
#1
With season 20 being over, let’s have a look at the records broken in last season, and what the new records are.

First off let’s check the Major League records, like probably expected a lot of the team-based records got broken, as we have 4 more games now, Reykjavik and Sao Paulo get the new highest points in a season with 42 (still lower than Tokyo has in S4, although back then the season had 22 games). Both of these teams also got the most wins with 13 wins, and Catalunya took the most league defeats with 16 defeats in the Major League. Although this is probably a logical  record to be broken, as we had way more games. On top of this we have Schwarzwälder getting the most goals record with 56, Wang Zhihao having the most goals by 1 player with 21, Muunokhoi Sarantsatsral equaled the most clean sheets record of 7, which has been done before in season 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, and 18. Zlatan Ibruhimovic got 6 player of the match awards, equaling the record of season 14.
For the match-based, or streak-based records only 1 got broken, and this was Milton Núñez who in Romana’s 3-2 win over Tokyo scored a goal in the 16th second, which is the fastest ever in the Major League, beating out the old 19 second record.

For the Minor League we see AS Paris getting the record of most points, with 41 points, they also equal the most league wins in a season record from season 15 and 17 with 13 wins, Magyar meanwhile got the most league defeats in a season with 16, and Kaapstad equal the season 12  record of most league draws in a season with 6. Magyar got the most team goals conceded with 85.
For the player-based records we see Leandro Dybala, Joe Mamba, and Andres de Giron equaling the season 15 record of most assists by a player in a season with 13 assists. Eric Belmont takes the record of most player of a season awards with 6, and finally Stig Stampe gets the record of worst discipline by a player with 11 yellow cards in a season. For the rest no Minor League records were broken that I keep track of.

New organisation, already breaking records!
Tenochtitlan and Krung Thep will never sing that.

Also, Stig Stampe is making us all proud.

Respectfully, is it truly the worst discipline if there were no red cards tied to those yellow cards? Any one else might have pushed it too far and received immediate dismissals but I think we can agree that by limiting himself only to yellow cards and with no glaring detriment to the opposing team too, that Mr. Stampe has shown high levels of discipline and I might add a significant level of restraint. If anything he should be commended for this conduct. I jest ofcourse.

On a more serious note, it was sad to see, as a Magyar player that our performances were poor to say the least. I'm still going to put this down to teething issues being a new organisation and such and am eagerly awaiting the comeback tour that is no doubt being prepared after a solid draft.

Congratulations to the formidable AS Paris in what can only be described as a phenomenal season that left nothing to the imagination as they swept the remaining teams aside to collect their just rewards. Two records in one season is a testament to the quality of players they have in their roster.

Here is to a new season full of new records being smashed and plenty more yellow cards to collect.

I think indeed teething issues, and just more games being played, there have been worse loss percentage seasons, but even a full season of only losses in the minor league so far, would have been beaten in pure quantity of losses in this season, as we had more games to lose in (and a generally stronger minor league, with all the actives). I think FM counts a red as 2 yellows? or maybe 3? I am unsure but I am generally using FM's worst discipline record thingy.
