Over the first several games of Pascal Anivierre's professional career in the Simulation Soccer League, he has noticed that he is picking up a trait that is affecting his game. While it's good to catch it early, having it to begin with is annoying Pascal quite a bit. He has noticed that if he isn't actively doing every and anything in his power to help Cairo City score a goal or at least get some solid chances, he feels that he isn't doing his part and gets nervous that he isn't doing well enough and might be demoted, sold, or released. He knows that this is an unreasonable fear, because the manager has told him time and again that as he's a brand new professional player and the team isn't looking at promotion or relegation, and isn't in a competitive season, that he can take the time to mature as a player and get continually better in his craft. He's taken pointers and gotten immediately better in some areas, but still has a ton of work to do to become a truly well rounded and good player. Pascal has allowed that fear to get into his head far more often than he should, and it's causing him to begin to be less aggressive than he needs to be in the last fifteen minutes or so of each half. Ordinarily this isn't the biggest deal in the world, however Cairo often finds itself trailing the opposition, so some form of aggression is needed. There have been times that Pascal has scored a goal and known that he's now absolutely doing everything in his power to help Cairo win, but there are also times that he makes a boneheaded pass or play and it racks his confidence. It's something that Pascal, now that he is aware of it, will be working on as much as humanly possible to make it a non-issue, but in the meantime he has to get that weakness under control.
