Grimace, the lovable purple dummy from McDonaldland, has made his way onto the pitch by joining the SSL. There are questions all around about why he would do this and what he could possibly offer the league. There are rumours that he was mocked one time too many by the Hamburglar and has something to prove, while others suggest he's always been a talented athlete inside of a plushy soft exterior. The true story is somewhere in between.

Back in Grimace's homeland, hidden away in the valleys beside Gitega, he was a young superstar in the making. Trained from youth by Uncle O'Grimacey who discovered the talent on one his visits back from Ireland, Grimace excelled at being a physical presence and using his rather large body to intimidate opponents. When Grimace was sent off into the world to try and make it as a futbol superstar on one of his scouting visits he unfortunately discovered McDonalds and began to struggle with a milkshake addiction. Now several years removed from the addiction with the support of his friends Ronald and Birdie, he is making a comeback in the spirit of recovery. Rediscovering what made him happy growing up will hopefully lead to great years ahead of him and maybe get the Hamburglar off his back about the weight.
