The day began like any other for Eden. He knew he would later find out what team he would call home, and he was excited for that moment, but he still has a responsibility at his current home. Eden has been helping his mother take care of his father who suffers from Parkinson's Disease. Eden's mother is typically able to care for his father all on her own, but she's recently had back surgery. Eden told his parents that he wasn't leaving to play for a few more months, so he would be happy to help with dad while mom rested and strengthened her back. And by the time she recovered, Eden would be on his way and then they could see him play on television! So, after everything was taken care of around the house and everyone was comfortable, the Empire family turned on the television in time for the S22 SSL Prospect Draft. Eden had a few good conversations with various different clubs, but he walked away from his conversations with Hollywood FC and Uniao Sao Paulo as the conversations he felt best about. Given that HFC didn't have the draft capital to take Eden he was almost sure he'd hear USP call his name. Except he didn't hear that. When USP was on the clock with the number 9 pick USP selected Silver Tarandus and Eden turned the television off immediately. He knew he'd be drafted at some point, but given his conversation he had that he thought went well he was sure to be their top choice. They made him feel great! So, when he wasn't selected he felt hurt almost. It wasn't until a few hours later he found out he was selected by USP with the very next pick. Eden felt like such an idiot to not have been patient. He can't wait to get started with his new club.
