From Hockey to Soccer - Kaspar Talvik en route
#1
Kaspar Talvik is one of the newest prodigies to make waves for themselves in the Academy League of the famed Simulation Soccer League. The young goalkeeper has been born in Tallinn, capital of Estonia and one of the few places in non-scandinavian europe where days can get very cold.

His dad, a hockey trainer did what he could to convince Kaspar to follow his own favorite sport which was hockey, a very popular sport in Estonia. Basically he gave Kaspar a stick and some ice skates before buying the first reeboks. But Kaspar was different. While his friends were chasing pucks on the surface of a frozen lake, Kaspar instead used the slippery ice to practice his diving abilites and parried shots of one of his closest childhood friends who was an exceptional soccer player. This was of course not the softest way to improve, but they made do with that they had.

Additionally trainign in deepest winter hardened Kaspar's body against low temperatures and playing through thick walls of snow in the airsharpened his eyesight.
When his father finally gave up his efforts to convert the boy to hockey he registered him to play at the local youth team where Kaspar handily rose above the competition for the sole Goalkeeper spot on the team.
After a few seasons he was already known as the "Winter Specialist", excelling in games close to subzero temperatures while also being cold as ice on the field with mentals that were unshaeable for someone of his age.

Now the SSl came knocking and Kaspar is ready to leave his home country to play wherever the academy and the draft will take him. If necessary even somewhere were the sun is shining everyday.
