Tenderloin’s aerial excellence underpins Medellin's dangerous corners
#1
Legend Pork Tenderloin’s lack of a traditional corporeal form has not hindered his rise as a goal scoring threat. This ageless, ethereal spirit has been rising far above the opposition through 7 academy matches, blasting home 4 powerful headers. All four set piece goals have come from corners. Left-footed wide defender Lucas Peioxoto has consistently provided good service from corner kicks, but analysts agree that Tenderloin’s unnatural ability to levitate above defenders is the key to Medellin’s dangerous set pieces.

Atletico is leading the academy in goals from corner kicks with 7 in their first 7 matches. No other academy team has scored more goals from corners than Legend Pork Tenderloin's 4. Adowa Accra is second with 4 goals scored from corners.

Tenderloin’s most recent header opened up the scoring against Victoria Falls in the 8th minute. Peioxoto sent a floated ball towards the near post and Tenderloin leapt up to power it into the nearside top corner. Tenderloin could not be reached for comment after the game as he vanished into thin air immediately after the final whistle but we did find Peioxoto in the locker room. We asked how having Tenderloin has given Atletico an advantage and he was willing to give the following comment, “Tendy is totally rad, being willing to step onto the academy pitch for all eternity is serious commitment. I know I can just put the ball up there and let him go get it. Super stoked to have that advantage as a corner taker.”
