Karras - First Game under his belt
#1
Karras kicked off his SSL career being placed on Victoria Falls for his Academy season. There was a set expectation that Karras would require some time to mesh with the coaching staff, and players on the squad, seemingly maybe starting a substitute and working his way into the starting 11.

However, much to his surprise he would find himself starting in the CDM slot in the game against Stockholm. With a placement in the starting 11, expectations were set low for the rookie as this would be his first professional game and first time playing in front of the home crowd. The pressure was definitely on for the young defensive midfielder, and he didn't disappoint as his passing was precision, cutting through the opposing midfield.

To everyone's surprise Karras had managed to get a rebound of shot just outside of the box, drilling it past the keeper for his first goal of the season, and first professional league goal, something that is not as expected outside of a set-piece for this player. He was seemingly everywhere that match with roughly 14.5km ran, and really held his own in the midfield.

I am sure with the performance he gave in his first showing has set the expectations high for this young player amoung Victoria Falls fans, and has scouts on the look out for what he can bring in future games.

Was this game a fluke? Will it set him up for failure? Or is there something special here?
