Fry and the number 57
#1
Another excellent match last week, three goals up when Fry was on the pitch, two goals conceded after Fry was substituted off.  Management will take notice.

On the current note, Fry is looking at the number 57.  Enough to bump to 20/20 pace/acceleration.  That is the meta, sure, but is it optimal?  Is it what Bernardo Fry wants?  Agility, Balance, ever needed in the winger position.  Dribbling, Finishing, Technique - also critical skills to provide scoring opportunities.  Off the Ball?  For sure, we want to receive the ball.  Choices - do we just take the rabbit route and finish the speedster skills, or do we continue to diversify?  20/20 is going to have to wait, there are skills to acquire.

In any case, Match Day 17.  Fry is looking forward to another winning game against Technochillin.

Bonito puts it through to Qartista immediately to score the opener, 1-0.  Fry is moderately angered by this, since he is of course the best assist man on the club.  A weak foul is called a penalty, bringing us to 2-0.

Halftime overwhelms us, and Fry chugs his Slurm Plus ™.  We might need a new chemical engineering of that formula, given recent results.

Into the second half, Fry feels adequately hydrated and will not have to revert to Bear Grills tactics.  Goodness, some really suspect defense nearly put Technochillin back onto the scoreboard.  The defense holds strong, every man behind the ball.

73rd Minute, Fry takes his first corner, headed away.  Another corner, 74th minute, but this time Fry puts it into the keeper's hands.

Again, every Cataluna player behind the ball, holding the game, but the pressure grows, uncomfortable.  Fry feels this is his moment.  He needs to put it to 3-0, out of reach.  Let's see what happens.

More defending, this is uncomfortable.

Bar fell over like a pile of cereal boxes, that's not a penalty ever.

The tall defenders from Cataluna head the ball away, but Technochillin manage a goal.  2-1.  And indeed, there is insufficient time, and Fry's game was bad today.

The article was quite engaging and gave us a glimpse into the character. While I usually knock "stream of consciousness" type articles, this one was very solid. A more pronounced structure would bring it to the top of the grades.
