Goodbye Victoria Falls

It's a bit of a bittersweet thing, the end of an academy season. With all the excitement of the draft and finally getting into the leagues, the creeping realisation has hit that my academy team mates will soon be the opposition. 

So before that happens I need to glaze them one more time before we get into the season and I start taking points off them. So to Luke, Dimitrios, Connor and Billy, thank you for the memorable season. For relishing the highs, for wallowing in the lows. For our absolutely uncanny ability to score exactly one goal in every away game and never more. So despite feeling like a bit of a fifth wheel now yous have somehow stuck in pairs in your new team, thank you.

Of course it won’t only be my team mates I will be saying goodbye to, so a thank you also to the gaffer, Mr G. Santori. For the hours you put into getting us ticking. For never making it feel hopeless going into a game. For your prematch chats about your testing which always amount to praying to whatever being we saw fit to help us (personally I went for Scott McTominay). 

I will finish by saying I wish you all the best of luck in the upcoming season and I promise I’ll still pick you all up after a loss, after I celebrate the 3 points.
