The season has finally started and all the hard work, preperation, and time spend welcoming in the new teammates has finally come to fruition. Their first game against Athenai F.C. Nerves are always high for the first game and this was no exception. A seasoned team after last years tribulations, Krung Thep were hungry to get the season off to a good start. Krung Thep came out strong with a relentless attack with 8 shots in the first 15 minutes. Satoshi made some fantastic saves to start the game. Following a corner that bounced around several players, a kick from Oliver into the box gets deflected to Wentworth. He passes it back to Oliver, who taps it back to Wentworth as Itar finds space in the box. He is completely unmarked. Wentworth makes the tap and sends the ball over to Itar who rockets it through the only space with a fantastic first touch to the bottom right corner of the net. Krung Thep would go on to win 3-0 following 2 more goals from Stro.
After the match, Itar was asked how he felt having scored the first goal of Krung Theps season. He responded with "It feel's incredible! You've got to make the chances count when they come to you and I feel I managed to take advantage of a disoriented Athenai F.C. Team. Wentworth and Oliver did great to get me set up, and with so many weapons on this team we will become a force in the league."
