Ranking Minor team logos
#1
It is now time for me to give you all my opinions on each of the minor team logos and general team branding. I’d love to do both minor and major but I’m short on time today. Theyll be listed in the order i see them in the portal. Off we go!

1. AC Paris. I’ve been to Paris once, had a great time. I like the blue and red color scheme, gives off very Napoleonic vibes. 7.2/10

2. FC Kaapstad. I have no clue where Kaapstad is (I’m not geographically gifted). The green and gold is kind of bland for me. Maybe it’s the low resolution of my picture (because on mobile the portal times out in 20 seconds and it was annoying me so I just screenshotted them) but i can’t actually tell what the logo was supposed to be. 4/10

3. CS Rova Mpanjaka. A bold green tree with a gold crown. The red outline makes this logo than Kaapstad above. I also don’t know where this place is but Rova has a cool ring to it. 6.1/10

4. AF Masques Sacrés. Okay first I have to say that I know what FC means, thought maybe CS was “club soccer” but am now doubting that. I have NO clue what AF is. Anyway, based on how the logo looks I’m guessing this is a South American based team? Masques Sacrés sounds Portuguese or Spanish for sacred masks, and the color has me thinking Aztec for some reason. I think the logo fits the name but just not my style so 5.1/10

5. Krung Thep FC. Another dark red and gold team like the Masques. This time it looks like they’re rocking the Golden Snitch? I feel like Krung Thep has a Vietnamese feel to it (but I’m probably very wrong). I give them a 6/10 for the Harry Potter feel.

6. Seoul MFC. Oh! I can figure this one out. Very graciously the logo has “Mythic” on it, leading me to believe that MFC is “Mythic Football Club”. I’m a fan of South Korea stuff so I’m in in Seoul. The logo looks like a kite shield with a monster face with maybe a blue sword? The white, green, and blue color way also looks crisp. I like this logo scheme the most so far. 8/10

7. Rapid Magyar FC. Okay these colors POP for me. Black, white, and purple? Sick nasty. The laurel leaves bordering the rest of the coat of arms looks nice too. Seoul didn’t hold the top spot for long, Rapid Magyar is neat. 8.5/10

8. Montréal United. I kind of like the rigid/modern look of the fleur-de-lis. Gold, green, and black leave me wanting a little bit more, though. 5/10

9. North Shore United. Okay, this one is tough. And not like TUFF, but tough to guage. I can see it’s two “something’s” stylized into an S (for shore I assume), but I’m too dumb to know what it is. I’ll give it a 5.5/10 as a good faith effort to understand the effort put into this one.

10. Inter London Football Club. Okay, tbh I’m not sure what Inter actually means (again, I’m dumb). Regardless the white, blue, and black logo with what looks like Big Ben in the center is pretty fire. 7/10

11. Cairo City. Pyramids, Sun, Circle. The logo itself is pretty solid and the colors make sense, but not my bag really. 4.5/10.

12. Athênai FC. Athens probably? Looks like the Parthenon on the shield, and the gold, white, and blue give definite Greek vibes. Pretty solid work, similar to Inter London imo. 7.1/10

In ranked order! (Okay this is ass to do on mobile)

AFMSD is based in Côte d'Ivoire and the AF stands for Academie de Futbol. The club is based of out West Africa and we tie back into our french roots!

Heck yeah! Good to know all that. The background definitely makes it better.

Comment as myself: Krung Thep is what locals call "Bangkok" in Thailand. It means "City of Angels" in the local dialect!

Comment as a grader: The article was a fun way to see how people new to the league interpret the logos. The logo-by-logo narrative wasn't particularly deep, but it was a good read. A solid 3/5 based on our grading rubric.
