Build a Draft - Tokyo S.C. Analysis
We’re in the S24 draft, and from our previous article, we’re looking for replacements for max earners at the age 11 season, which translates to S13 players who are at about 1750 TPE, every ~200 TPE below that mark pushes our season one quicker, so a 1500 TPE S14 player would be also at replacement.
We’re also going to be assuming our teams are mostly playing a 4-2-3-1, which I believe to be the meta.

First up in our draft is Tokyo S.C. and looking at the roster, for players that we want to replace NOW, we don’t actually have as many as you’d think. The Cairo City team has Daniel Herrera and Leah Slothinson as easy call-ups if need be, and the S23 gang of No Face, Billy Bobby, Jiang You, and Jay Burns are varying amounts of active, and should be counted as players for the future. If we put that all together, our roster fills in our 4-2-3-1 quite nicely.

We’re missing a GK for the future, and that’s the position to target. Johnny Crying isn’t earning at a reasonable clip, about half of the potential, so that’s my position to target. I’m not quite sure why this team lost so many games, but the future should be bright.
Looking at the S24 class, we have a single keeper of note, Brad Woof. Coming in at 348 TPE and a 450k bank, I think Brad is going to be a good keeper who earns well through his career, but taking him at one feels… unambitious. Taking a mid-earning player is fine and all, but to take them at the top because of their position feels rough. Assuming he drops to 2.01 also seems unlikely, so a dilemma of what to do, and of course I don’t understand trade value, so a trade down seems likely to explore but won’t be speculated on in this mock.
If we look at Leah Slothinson as a potential backup necessary player, then a CM to go with the S23 LAM/RAM works logically, and uh… I guess we could pick me? I’m a CAM but I don’t think I have the sauce for a 1OA pick here in the SSL.
Alternatively, you can plan for life after the S16 class and your main position of need is in CD, with Austin Morley coming up as someone who’s been writing and active, and seems to want to get engaged with the league, going first helps boost that so I take soevil first.
Our class here seems quite thin, and with barely two rounds, I think some hard choices will be made but it’s a promising first pick.
