Some fun statistics

Hi all,

I am a man who loves one thing more than anything: Weird statistics no one cares about

With that in mind I used the api to get access to all 23 seasons in the minors majors and the cup and will be going through a couple statistics that caught my eye and though were fun.


Lets start off with some penalty stats!


So the person with the most penalties scored, with 33, is Dogwood Maple @dogwoodmaple interestingly enough Dogwood is also the player who has MISSED the most penalties. Out of the 43 attemps he scored 33 times, missing 10 times. 


However this is a lot better than Anthony Simmons @Starchychaff has done, eventhough they have only missed 4 penalties, they have also only taken 4 penalties being the only player in SSL history to pull of this feat!



Now lets move on to some shooting stats!

Everyone loves an out of the box banger, however who loves them the most? Well looking at it statistically it seems to be Alessandro Del Pirlo @Zoone16 with their 25 out of the box goals they are 6 goals clear of the next highest, Wang Zhihao with 19.

Now when it comes to shot accuracy, there is one player that rises above the rest. Although there are some players with 80-100% shot accuracy, most of these have very little shots. However there is one player who has an impressive 65% shot accuracy, meaning their shot was on target 341 times out of the 552 total shots and this player is Gerd Klose @Muford the next player who has a comparable amount of shots is Hunter Jones and they have an accuracy of 57%


Now in order to have winners you must also have... non winners. In this case that award will have to go to: Christian Silver @gsk94180 a Season 1 player who managed 6 shots, not landing a single one on target. 

(small little fun fact, I checked his profile and he appearantly has $5,- to his name, thats it)
