You may recall me advocating in the SSL discord, and a wee bit in the forums, for the SSL to fully embrace promotion and relegation. "Fully" in this case meaning no more major and minor leagues, and instead four fluid tiers of soccer in which the best teams rise from each of the lower 3 tiers and fall from each of the upper 3.
Well, as they say, KARMA IS A BITCH. Guess whose player happens to be on the team dead last in the second division of the major league? THAT'S RIGHT. Mine.
And Tlacaelel Tepoztli and his SFV teammates aren't just a little bit in last place. They're the deadest of dead-last last place. Winless, double the goal differential of the next-worse two teams put together. A worse goal differential than the teams at the bottom of each of the other three divisions (one of which happens to be the minor affiliate of SFV, Montreal).
This is the moment where you expect a public figure to, politician-like, suddenly spin a new tale, and recant why their past idea might have been a poor one, upon reconsideration.
Well, folks... that ain't me. So, dear SSL, do kindly reward the desperate suckage of SFV and Tlacaelel Tepoztli by dropping them into Minor League division 1 to start next season. It's our just reward for the injustice we've inflicted upon our fans and our legacy. We deserve no better. RELEGATION NOW!
