Thomas Thunder is settling in well with the Port Royal organization. It has been his first trip away from home so there is a lot of new experiences for him. Fortunately the team has the schedule very well organized for training days and for match days. Wake up at this time, be here at that time. When to eat, when to lift, all of it is organized and thank goodness. Thunder like make of his new teammates have not been on their own before and the academy teams know it. They are not stupid, I mean they even have custom meal creations to suit their roster's different backgrounds!
In the building Thunder has been working on the all important chemistry with his teammates. He knows that they all have to work together on the pitch, and the only way that is going to happen is if they get on the same page off it as well. There have been game and movie nights. Beach days of course. They even have a boat they can take out for a little extra relaxation time, but unfortunately the rules are no water skiing or similar activities.
There have been 5 games played so far and this is the first time in Thunder's life that he has been up against some really talented opponents. He has also been overjoyed with the quality of his teammates. So far in 5 games Thunder has participated in 7 of their goals, split at 3 goals and 4 assists. His 4 assists are a league leading mark, tied with Karry Hane, and his combined 7 goals+assists are a league's best. He has been a very important and impactful part of their offense and it has been very satisfying. A few downsides he has noticed so far is his very low shot and cross percentages. He has 17 shot attempts and only 6 are shots on target, or 35%. However of the 6 on target, 3 of them were goals. A big improvement opportunity shown by the staff is to make sure these shot attempts actually are put on frame. His cross percent is an abysmal 15% breaking down as 2 successful out of 13 attempted crosses. His header percentage at 10% is not much better. Both of these are just big ways to improve in the future! The passing though has been excellent at just under 90%! Lastly, Thunder was the man of the match once so far when he posted a perfect 10.0 rating. That was one heck of a day. Overall his rating has still been very good at 7.82. This is the second highest average rating in the league after his teammate Munchakoopa's 8.02!
Thomas Thunder is looking forward for what more their team can put together. He has been working lately on his top end speed and hopefully upon the next check in Thunder will be able to see if it has made him a better player!
