Up and Down Season

It wasn’t the first time Sandro had felt the pain of sitting at the bottom of the table midway through the season. The last time he and his CDT teammates weren’t able to pull up out of their tailspin in time and crashed out down to the second division for a season. This time, he was determined to make it different. Though he was determined, his performances didn’t always show that level of determination. One game he’d look like the best attacking fullback in the world, dribbling past defenders with tricky flicks and flair, and the next game he’d look completely useless in both attack and defense. With very few average performances in between.

Unfortunately, CDT was mostly on the other end of the spectrum. Excluding a cup win in which they destroyed a Liffeyside Celtic team that has given them trouble since their expansion season, CDT has been bad as a whole this season. The strikers aren’t scoring consistently, when they do, it’s called back for offside or a foul. There’s very little motivation coming for Sandro externally right now and he knows that he will need to drive both his and his team’s improvement internally. Once everything begins to click, he has no doubt that they will push on, until then, things could continue to be bumpy for both Sandro and CDT.
