As it currently stands, Inter London are winless. The season started with five consecutive losses but last week's matches saw Inter London scrape two draws against some very good teams. They are hoping this upward trend will reward them with a win in the near future. If they want to stay up next season, they need points and they need points fast. If things don't turn around soon, they will be headed back to division two.
Matchday 8 saw Inter London take on F.C. Kaapstad. The home side came away with a 4-2 victory. Pete Martell, Evan Hunt and Henry Fantobens were all on the scoresheet in their victory, while Ryan O'Neill and Chef Gagne scored for Inter London. Althought both teams had eight shots on target, the superior F.C. Kaapstad was much more clinical in front of goal. João Mendes did not have one of his best games, as he picked up his second yellow card of the season. He did have one shot on target, after a long shot was parried away by the goalkeeper.
Matchday 9 saw Inter London take on Krung Thep FC, with the match ending in a 2-0 result for the away side. Matt Stro scored quickly in the 4th minute and Pardner Magool ended it in the 89th minute. Althought Inter London finished the game with more expected goals, they fell short yet again. Chris McZehrl missed a penalty in the 39th minute. João Mendes only played 45 minutes as he was subbed as half time, his first substitution of the season. He still managed two key passes in that time and was successful on all his tackles.
Unfortunately, after these two results, it's safe to say that Inter London will be going back down to division two. Maybe they will get lucky and end up in the relegation match but it's looking more and more likely it will be automatic.
