Sandro: Samba Raiz
#1
Sandro knew that he'd kinda stalled out in the last few seasons. The monumental climb up to the top league, competing with the world's very best, was met with a hard plateau once he got there. He'd put off a few crucial parts of his game and had to address them. The one thing that had consistently led to Sandro falling short of his pure dominance is that he would get bullied off the ball a lot. No matter how agile he was, he struggled to keep he balance when opposing defenders put a body on him. Strength and balance. That's what he needed, and he was determined to make the changes necessary to remedy his shortcomings.

Every morning Sandro woke up and went out on a traditional boat with a local farmer who sold Sandro produce at the neighborhood market. Thin and unbalanced, Sandro stood in the canoe like boat and paddled the farmer out to his chinampas. While the modern man made islands of Mexico City are a shell of their former glory, there are still plenty standing strong and covered in fertile soil, but Sandro wasn't there for Corn or Tomatoes, he was there to improve his balance and core strength. While he knew he would need to be in the weight room as well to build the kind of strength to compete in the top division, the Karate Kid like practical training had always worked for Sandro in the past, and he knew that some things just can't be replicated by Gringo Sports Scientists.
