Tex Star finished the Academy season strong as the top goal scorer and highly regarded by multiple organizations by a top tier talent. Even considered maybe a future ace for a squad. After going through the 1st round with mostly defensive picks, Hollywood finally came with the 17th pick in the 1.5 round and took Tex Star with their one and only pick. The heads of the organization said, "Stars are meant to be in Hollywood", and he will fit right in as they needed a LAM. After having 6 rookies last season they only added one but potentially the best one who can make an immediate impact on the young minor league squad. Tex said, "after a disappointing finish not winning the academy league", he plans on doing all he can do to help KAAPSTAD get back on top of the Minor league. Dante Van Wolfe has already given the rookie a grand welcome in as they are building great rapport off the field reportedly letting Tex hold his bags while he shops calling it "rookie duties". All fun and games but Tex is just happy to be around with so many legends of the SSL to help develop the Star into a Star.
