Minors League pre-season attribute averages BELL CURVES OMG

Hello everyone, since I didn't know what to make an article about, it's now 2 weeks later from post-season and I will pretend this is pre-season! Attributes did actually change since then so why not. Jumping reach is the most interesting for no particular reason.

Acceleration


Acceleration has decreased slightly since the post-season article with the league average falling from 17.28 to 17.08. Nothing crazy but it could be because of players moving to the majors. The attribute average stays at an extremely high level but it does show that the Minors League hasn't continued the rend of getting faster. The bell curve will still show a heavy concentration towards the upper end with acceleration remaining one of the biggest physical strengths of the competition. Even with the small decline an average above 17 is still rapid.



The top ten is still filled with players reaching the maximum of 20, all ten players of them to be exact. Rigby Emerson, Tito Esposito, Xuxu Jang, Ekon Ayo, Matt Oopsie Wrongsport Turk, Weston McNuggie, Thomas Schwarte, Ryan O'Neill, Matt Stro and Resetti Moretti all share first place. Compared to the post-season rankings, Matt Stro and Resetti Moretti remain at the very top while the rest of the group has changed considerably. Of course when the entire top ten is sitting at the maximum there isn't exactly much room for a meaningful ranking.

Agility


Agility has decreased slightly since the post-season with the league average falling from 13.18 to 12.96. The drop of 0.22 is small but unlike acceleration agility has always offered more separation in the top ten between the players. Even small changes are somewhat more interesting. The overall level remains high enough to suggest that the Minors League is still full of players capable of making a quick turn on their feet although the new bell curve should show whether the decline is spread across the league or concentrated among certain groups. I don't think we will see a big change however.



The top ten is once again dominated by players with 20 agility with six players reaching 20 agility. Benecio Aguilera III, Rean Schwarzer, Matt Stro, Domingo Hernández, Turd Ferguson and Joseph Daniel Kakou all share first place. Ahmad Ampharos, Yoma Hashimoto, Roquefort Cotswold and Duncan Walrusson complete the top ten on 19. Compared to the post-season rankings, Benecio Aguilera III, Rean Schwarzer, Matt Stro, Domingo Hernández, Turd Ferguson, Joseph Daniel Kakou and Duncan Walrusson all remain among the top. The group has changed less than the previous acceleration rankings although four new names have joined the top ten.

Jumping reach


Jumping reach has decreased slightly since the post-season with the league average falling from 12.09 to 11.78. The drop of 0.31 is definitely noticeable but not dramatic and could once again be influenced by players moving to the majors. The overall level remains fairly high although the Minors League has lost some of its aerial ability compared to the post-season. The bell curve will still show a large group around the middle with a smaller group of players separating themselves at the top. There are still plenty of players capable of getting up there, just slightly fewer of them, or maybe they will reach slightly lower heights?



The top ten is once again dominated by players reaching the maximum of 20 with nine players sharing first place. Benjamin Munro, Zach Mulder, Jakob Fensterhausen, Dennis van Huntelrooy (omg what a player, not making this again to GLAZE MYSELF), Arsène N'Goussou, Larv Itar, Matt Stro, Resetti Moretti and Eric Duic all have 20 jumping reach while Yoma Hashimoto completes the top ten on 19. Compared to the post-season rankings Jakob Fensterhausen, Arsène N'Goussou, Matt Stro and Resetti Moretti remain among the elite while the rest of the group has changed considerably. With nine players sitting on the maximum there is once again very little separating the best jumpers although apparently someone forgot to tell Yoma that 20 was the target.

Pace


Pace has decreased slightly since the post-season with the league average falling from 17.23 to 17.05. The drop of 0.18 is small and could once again be explained by players moving to the majors, but the overall level remain extremely high, just like acceleration. An average above 17 means the Minors League is still packed with extremely fast players and there is clearly no shortage of speed, KACHOW. The bell curve will still show a heavy concentration towards the top end with pace remaining one of the biggest strengths of the league. The Minors League may have slowed down slightly but nobody has actually become slow.



The top ten is once again completely dominated by players reaching the maximum of 20 with all ten players sitting at the absolute limit. Puma Superhoops, Rigby Emerson, Xuxu Jang, Mecha Zilla, Weston McNuggie, Thomas Schwarte, Remi Taarel, Ryan O'Neill, Matt Stro and Resetti Moretti all share first place on 20. Compared to the post-season rankings Matt Stro and Resetti Moretti remain at the very top while the rest of the group has changed completely. With another ten way tie at 20 there isn't exactly much we can do in terms of ranking these players, so congratulations to everyone for being incapable of being faster than 20. When will someone get 21 pace smh my head.

Strength


Strength has slightly decreased since the post-season with the league average falling from 11.31 to 11.07. The decrease of 0.24 is small and could once again be because of players moving to the Majors team(s) (I will keep repeating this for the word count, cant stop me). Unlike pace and acceleration, strength was never one of the top attributes in the league so even a small change is a little more noticeable. The overall level remains around the middle of the attribute spread with a smaller group of physical powerhouses separating themselves from the larger group around the average. The bell curve should still show a fairly clear distinction between the strongest players and everyone else.



Matt Stro remains completely unchallenged at the top with 20 strength although this time Nick Dusk has moved up to 19 and we will probably see him at 20 at the end of the season. Anthony Lee, Jakob Fensterhausen, Damian DeSoto and Don Lorenzo form the next group on 18 while Roquefort Cotswold follows on 17. Jordan Bamford, Berit Skovgaard and Justin Fern complete the top ten on 16 strength. Compared to the post-season rankings, Matt Stro, Jakob Fensterhausen, Damian DeSoto and Don Lorenzo remain among the strongest players while Nick Dusk and Anthony Lee have joined the top group. Matt Stro is still sitting comfortably at the top though.

Anticipation


Anticipation has decreased slightly since the post-season with the league average falling from 13.11 to 13.07. The drop of only 0.04 is essentially nothing and shows that the overall level of anticipation has remained remarkably stable compared to what we've seen so far. Unlike some of the physical attributes there has been almost no movement here with the Minors League still sitting comfortably above 13 on average. The bell curve will therefore look very similar to the post-season distribution with most players sitting around the middle and a strong group separating themselves towards the upper end.



The top ten has become even more crowded at the maximum with nine players reaching 20 anticipation. Benecio Aguilera III, Yoma Hashimoto, Roquefort Cotswold, Rigby Emerson, Billy Elliott, Zach Mulder, Arsène N'Goussou, Larv Itar and Jakob Fensterhausen all share first place on 20 while Weston McNuggie completes the top ten on 18. Compared to the post-season rankings Benecio Aguilera III, Billy Elliott, Arsène N'Goussou and Jakob Fensterhausen remain among the elite while the rest of the group has changed considerably. With nine players on 20 I expect half the league already knows exactly what I'm going to write next.

Bravery


Bravery has decreased slightly since the post-season with the league average falling from 6.68 to 6.57. The drop of 0.11 is again, extremely small so there hasn't exactly been a new mass outbreak of cowardice in the Minors League, because we were and still are a bunch of cowards. It remains one of the lowest average attributes in the league showing that throwing yourself into dangerous situations is still not something most players are interested in. The bell curve will remain heavily concentrated towards the lower end with only a smaller group of players willing to put their bodies on the line. Performing a fake shot might send most players to the ground with a heart attack.



Don Lorenzo remains alone at the top with 15 bravery while David Doug II, Stephan Lichsteiner, Damian DeSoto and JG Wentworth form the chasing group on 13. Alex Stain, Cameron Millwall, Nick Dusk and Paulie Wag follow on 12 while Arthur Cain completes the top ten on 10. Compared to the post-season rankings, Don Lorenzo, David Doug II, Stephan Lichsteiner, Damian DeSoto, JG Wentworth, Cameron Millwall and Nick Dusk all remain among the league's bravest players. The top group has changed less than some of the other attributes although Lorenzo is still comfortably ahead of everyone else. Lorenzo will not be phased by a fake shot, although it will still make him slightly nervous.

Decisions


Decision making has decreased since the post-season with the league average falling from 10.96 to 10.35. The drop of 0.61 is one of the biggest declines so far and suggests the Minors League has lost some of its decision making ability since the post-season, maybe we've been training too hard on headers or it could once again be related to players moving to the majors, although this is a much bigger change than we've seen with most attributes. The overall level remains around the middle of the scale meaning there is still a decent spread between the players making good decisions and those who probably shouldn't be trusted to cross the street on their own. The bell curve will show whether this decline is spread across the league or mainly caused by changes at certain levels.



The top of the rankings is now shared by five players on 17. Duncan Walrusson, Rokuv Gibraltar, Dáibhí Barr, Damian DeSoto and Pope Francis all sit at the top while Dissa Pointment, Maggie Sinclair and Weston McNuggie follow on 16. Benecio Aguilera III and Stan Smith complete the top ten on 15. Compared to the post-season rankings, Rokuv Gibraltar, Dáibhí Barr, Damian DeSoto, Pope Francis and Benecio Aguilera III remain among the league's best decision makers while the rest of the top ten has changed. The highest decisiong making stat has also dropped from 18 to 17. Wonder what decisions our dead Pope Francis is still making.

Flair


Flair has decreased slightly since the post-season with the league average falling from 6.82 to 6.67. The drop of 0.15 is small but flair was already one of the lower average attributes in the league. To be fair, it is a completely useless attribute but I still respect anyone that goes for it. The Minors League clearly hasn't suddenly become the next generation of Brazils national team with most players still sitting towards the lower end of the scale. The bell curve will once again show that strong concentration at the lower end with only a small group apparently willing to do something unnecessarily fancy.



Robbie Schuurmans, Arthur Cain and Billy Elliott share the top spot on 15 flair while Pope Francis, Arsène N'Goussou and Zay Bailey follow on 14. Dáibhí Barr, Kim Heung-Min, Otto Rocket and Stig Stampe complete the top ten on 13. Compared to the post-season rankings Robbie Schuurmans, Arthur Cain, Billy Elliott, Pope Francis, Arsène N'Goussou, Zay Bailey and Dáibhí Barr all remain among the league's most “creative” players. The top of the rankings has barely changed. We're still waiting for that special someone.

Vision


Vision has decreased slightly since the post-season with the league average falling from 9.54 to 9.14. The drop of 0.40 is more noticeable than some of the smaller changes we've seen so far and suggests the Minors League has lost some of its ability to spot passing opportunities, maybe due to old again. Vision is still one of the more midrange attributes, meaning there is still plenty of separation between functional awareness and the elite playmakers. The bell curve will show whether this decline is spread fairly evenly across the league or if the lower end has become more crowded. Either way, apparently everyone is seeing slightly less than they were before.



Kim Heung-Min and Pope Francis share the top spot on 17 vision while Benecio Aguilera III and Stan Smith follow on 16. Dáibhí Barr, Arsène N'Goussou and Hans Grudnar form the next group on 15 while Dimitrios Karras sits on 14. Stig Stampe and Otto Rocket complete the top ten on 13. Compared to the post-season rankings, Kim Heung-Min, Pope Francis, Benecio Aguilera III, Stan Smith, Dáibhí Barr, Arsène N'Goussou and Hans Grudnar all remain among the league's best look-abled persons while Dimitrios Karras, Stig Stampe and Otto Rocket are new additions. The top has remained fairly stable.

Dribbling


Dribbling has increased slightly since the post-season with the league average rising from 11.96 to 12.01, omg it is possible that we've increased. The increase of 0.05 is essentially nothing but at least the Minors League has managed to avoid getting worse at running around with the ball. The overall level remains around the middle of the attribute spread with a large group of players sitting around the average but the top is made out of elite level dribblers. The bell curve will still show plenty of players clustered around the middl  while the very best dribblers continue to stand out. Apparently five hundredths of a point was enough to make the league slightly more annoying to defend, I'm just happy we've gotten better at sometrhing.



The top of the rankings has become even more crowded with six players reaching the maximum of 20 dribbling. Roquefort Cotswold, Yoma Hashimoto, Jakob Fensterhausen, Arsène N'Goussou, Billy Elliott and Zach Mulder all share first place while Ben Nelson and Mikko Rashford II follow on 19. Kim Heung-Min and Don Lorenzo complete the top ten on 18. Compared to the post-season rankings, Arsène N'Goussou, Billy Elliott, Ben Nelson, Mikko Rashford II and Don Lorenzo remain the league's elite dribblers while the rest of the top ten has changed. The amount of players reaching 20 dribbling has also increased from five players to six.

Heading


Heading has decreased slightly since the post-season with the league average falling from 8.27 to 8.10, and we're back to getting worse in an attribute. The drop of 0.17 is still small and doesn't change the fact that heading remains one of the lower rated attributes in the Minors League. There is still a clear gap between the majority of players and the big headed specialists at the top. The bell curve should continue to show a strong concentration towards the lower end with only a small group of players standing out as aerial specialists. Deliberately getting the ball on your head and even being able to control the direciton is not something we like to do around here.



Mikko Rashford II continues to dominate the top of the rankings with 19 heading, sitting four points clear of Martin Krpan and Mecha Zilla on 15. Berit Skovgaard follows on 14 while Anthony Lee, Yoma Hashimoto, Arsène N'Goussou, Damian DeSoto, JG Wentworth and Ekon Ayo complete the top ten on 13. Compared to the post-season rankings Mikko Rashford II is still the sole dominant head aimer, Martin Krpan, Mecha Zilla, Berit Skovgaard and Arsène N'Goussou remain among the league's strongest headers while the rest of the group has changed slightly.

Passing


Passing has decreased since the post-season with the league average falling from 10.93 to 10.67. The drop of 0.26 is noticeable but is still relatively small. Passing remains around the middle of the overall attribute spread with most players capable of functioning in possession while a smaller group separates themselves as the better playmakers. The bell curve will continue to show a fairly broad distribution rather than the extreme concentration we see with attributes like pace and acceleration. The Minors League has lost a little passing ability but we will have to see if it really matters when it was never that great.



Pope Francis stands alone at the top with 17 passing while Dáibhí Barr and Rodiano Santori follow on 16. Maggie Sinclair, Owen Bryant, Dimitrios Karras, Franz van Grimbergen, Louie Duck, Damian DeSoto and Aleksandr Skovgaard form a large group on 15 to complete the top ten. Compared to the post-season rankings, Pope Francis, Dáibhí Barr and Damian DeSoto remain among the leading passers while the rest of the top ten has changed considerably. The highest passing ability has also dropped from 18 to 17 so the league's best passer has gone into the wrong directly, but ony slightly.

Tackling


Tackling has decreased slightly since the post-season with the league average falling from 8.62 to 8.53. The drop of 0.09 is very small and doesn't really change the overall picture of tackling in the Minors League. It remains one of the lower rated attributes (because I'm not filtering positions, hehe), with a relatively small group of players separating themselves as the proper tackling specialists. The bell curve should therefore still show a concentration towards the low end with the higher ratings becoming increasingly uncommon. Probably because only defenders actually need to be good at tackling and we are still judging everyone together, just like collective punishment.



Damian DeSoto remains alone at the top with 18 tackling while Don Lorenzo follows on 16. Jordan Bamford, Mecha Zilla, Rokuv Gibraltar and Ron Wince form the next group on 15 while JG Wentworth, Louie Duck, Howie Dewitt and Jakob Fensterhausen complete the top ten on 14. Compared to the post-season rankings, Damian DeSoto, Don Lorenzo, Rokuv Gibraltar and Jakob Fensterhausen remain among the league's best tacklers while the rest of the top ten has seen some changes. Damian remains comfortably ahead of everyone else although Don Lorenzo has closed the gap slightly. If you can't be the strongest or bravest, you can always just kick someone in the shins and call it defending.
